The priest intended to shame the woman but, the prevailing culture sa Pilipinas is shameful naman jud nang birth out of wedlock (labaw pa ni nga single-mother). Even if the priest hadn't shamed this woman, you think she'll go through the rest of her life without having experience that shame? So really the priest went out of his way to kick a dead horse.

But who knows, basin sad ang pangasaba sa pari ky naka-enlighten nuon sa babae. But I do think nga ang mga pari should avoid doing anything like this--like I said do it in confidence or a very closed group (apil amahan ug inahan).

I'd like to add that people should stop trying to poke at derogatory quips. I'm an agnostic, but please try to be sensitive with other people's beliefs. We're all grown-ups here, don't turn this thread into a belief-bashing, flame war--like many other religious-themed threads.
