    Quake 4
    with
    my previous rig
Kamang ghapn ang x850XT pe in medium settings 800x600 resolution.

Have to set it to 640x480 to run smooth enough for medieval resolution. But I think the game is bottlenecked by my AXP 2.1ghz processor.

    WORLD OF CONFLICT -- http://www.legionhardware.com/document.php?id=676

Real-time strategy games such as Command & Conquer 3 and Company of Heroes for example, are by far my favourite type of computer games, so the fact that World in Conflict is an RTS is great news! However unlike Command & Conquer 3 and Company of Heroes, World in Conflict features no base-building or resource gathering, which is something almost all RTS games are based around. Rather players are given a certain amount of money to purchase various units in the game. Whenever a unit is destroyed the money that was used to purchase it is slowly regenerated allowing the player to call in reinforcements.

In terms of game play World in Conflict is being advertised as the divine successor to Ground Control, but it does so by doing away with many of the features such as resource gathering. The single player mode is also vastly different from what we have seen from RTS games in the past. Rather than being a commander over the entire battlefield, the player is just an officer of minor importance. This means the player will only command a few units rather than an entire army. The AI actually handles the majority of action on the battlefield. These battles will take place in The United States, Europe and also Russia.

Like RTS titles such as Company of Heroes, the player can select a special ability which includes infantry, air, support or armour. Also like Company of Heroes the player will achieve special tactical aids that can enable things like airstrikes, deploy paratroopers or even nuclear bombs! The best part about all this explosive action is that it looks so good. The game engine is impressive, supporting both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 rendering modes. Today we have decided to only test the DX9 performance in Windows XP, leaving the DX10 results for when the game is officially released next month.

While this is the first game to actually show reasonable gains in visual quality when running in DX10 mode, the performance hit is still massive! For most graphics cards we have found DX10 performance to be very poor, so poor that it is not even playable. Therefore today we are going to concentrate on the DX9 performance of a range of Radeon and GeForce graphics cards on both AMD and Intel systems. The game has been thoroughly tested with medium and very low visual quality settings, while we have only run a small amount of tests with the high quality settings as even the GeForce 8800 GTX struggled.

If we're talking about available games right now, I'd say Oblivion.. Try daw ninyo kinsa naa 8800GTX, Ultra or X2900XT running this game bisig wala lang AA and HDR lang enable and make sure to click on the 3 distant rendering on, texture size large, all shadows on and shadow filtering highest and put ALL the sliders sa ingame video settings niya all the way to the right(max) if dili bah mo kamang.
