On protected pick, yup know about the Nash deal , but if the Lakers stink it up next season , theres a big chance we fall into 5 or less.

regarding the top 5 pick, it would be a possibility to just stink again next season, and probably regain the rights for the pick. they should probably draft joel embiid, and let him sit for the entire season. this way, the lakers might get a top 5 pick in the lottery next season, but there's no guarantee for that. the lakers could just stink and still not get the top 5 pick for next season.

Laker's might be best if they stick with there draft pick, thou unproven but have the potential to be better. And also this coming season in reality Laker's still can't compete with the top teams so better continue to rebuild..

On Philly I doubt that's going to happen , they have a young kid running point and was good during rookie season , plus all the nice picks they are going to acquire , that team if run good could be scary in the near future.

Without question but philly aint that dumb , as much respect I have for Nash , I don't see him playing to full strength next season and if by any chance he does , that body like players before him who have hung it up won't last long na.

can't wait for the nba draft to start. i believe the plan is to determine the best available options after the nba draft. another thing, we really need a good point guard and power forward specially if pau leaves. if pau really wants to be a part of a contending team next season, i hope he'll choose the spurs.
