mas exciting to look forward to the games of Team USA against Argentina, Brazil and Puerto Rico, teams they have had problems with in the past...Team USA won a tuneup match over Brazil before the recent World C'ships, I think OT win to siya and 3 points ra ang difference, Puerto Rico has beaten the Team USA once and Argentina have beaten them and even dominated their last few matches on the hardcourt

Both USA and Brazil leads Group B with 3-0 record a piece, it's a good finale for Group B since both teams will be facing each other next. Leandro Barbosa has turned into a scoring machine for Brazil, leading the FIBA Americas with an average of 27 points in his first three games and exploded for 36 points in Brazil's close 93-89 win over the Virgin Islands. Other than Barbosa, 6'7 guard/forward Marcelinho Machado can also score big time for Brazil. Carmelo Anthony currently ranks third in scoring with 21.3 ppg while Michael Redd is at fifth with 19.3 ppg.

USA 127, Mexico 100. It's the closest any team could get so far and the first time any team made it to the century mark against USA in this year's FIBA tournament. Good for the trigger happy Mexicans they made 15 out of their 28 3-point attempts while USA just made 9/25. USA's top shooters Michael Redd and Mike Miller combined for a dismal 1/10 3-point shots but the usual "big three" of USA once again delivered, as usual. Maybe USA will blame it again on Tayshuan Prince's absence. . Just like what coach K said in an interview after the game against Brazil regarding their "not-so-good" start.

Mexico had 4 players who were able to score more than 17 points, not so good for USA who's established their name as one of the premier defenders in the tournament.

Argentina remains unbeaten after beating Canada 85-70. Luis Scola and Carlos Delfino delivered big against fellow NBAer Samuel Dalembert. The score wasn't able to tell much of the story. Argentina took control of the game from the start after outscoring Canada 46-16 in the whole first half before Canada came back outscoring Argentina 54-39 in the second half. Nevertheless, it was too late for Canada.
