About the Job
Position Summary
To work on behalf of a premier American company providing professional technical and customer service to clients experiencing performance or other technical issues with their personal computers.
Essential Duties
- Communicate with clients by telephone or chat to ascertain the nature of their technical issues.
- Practice systematic troubleshooting procedures to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Optimize each client’s system using the designated software tools.
- Escalate technical issues based on guidelines set by company.
- Document each call in the company CRM.
Essential Knowledge
- Technical understanding of how Windows operating systems function, e.g., registry, services, drivers, etc.
- Knowledgeable about computer hardware components and how they function with Windows OS.
- Understanding of software programs ranging from Internet browsers to anti-virus/malware removal utilities and how to configure and use them as needed.
- Excellent English communication skills
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience
*Any of the following will qualify
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or other comparable technical field; or
- One year of certificate technical training and 3 months of related work experience; or
- Technical Certification (e.g., CompTia A+) and 6 months of related work experience
- One year on the job training as a computer repair troubleshooter for any BPO
Work Schedule
Night Shift to start. Morning and afternoon shifts may be available after completion of training period.
