that's a better choice... but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for any of those.

FACT 1:
The higher the frequency used, the more attenuated it gets as it gets farther away from the source (the cellsite). That's just considering free space. If you add obstructions like buildings, mountains, etc., this will also add to the degradation of signals.

FACT 2:
2G or GSM uses lower frequencies (900MHz/1800MHz) compared to 3G (2100MHz) so 3G's signal gets more weaker compared to 2G at a given distance


What this means is that SUN's new 3G activation,unfortunately, would not improve their existing coverage issues (deadspots, low signal etc.) unless they construct a site nearer where you are situated. However, this will give SUN a chance to once again revolutionize the pricing scheme in 3G services like what it did to 2G with its unlimited offers.

As subscribers, we should thank Sun for their unlimited services w/c paved the way for cheaper rates even from the other two Telco's. I just don't know how much longer Sun will hold on because as much as profit goes, they are still on the negative end since they went ON-AIR.

they just hired a new VP to take charge of this task...
coz it seems they need to roll out 3G by mid 2008 or else their license will be revoked...

ang original target ng launching ng 3g was last june unta under testing. akong source ni ingon na palit pa ta ug "3g sim" para makaavail sa 3g services. hasola. dili pa sad sure ang unlimited 3g calls.

i just hope by the time they have 3G, the signal would improve/
