@kols - That is amazing! I am totally floored! What lens did you use if you don't mind? I'd have to remember to get one when I finally have my own dslr.
The last two pictures of the first post are my favorites. Looks like a Lacoste commercial. I gotta ask, is the blur on her skin because of the dof or from post-process?
One of the edited pictures have blown-out highlights, did you use the exposure slider? You can use a levels adjustment and move the right slider to the last elevation on the histogram to prevent blown-out highlights.
Amazing pictures! I am a fan!
mark, i like the lighting orientation here...Originally Posted by markyap

studio lights are still in my wishlist.....
@kolz - oh god I hope you don't mind but I had a go at your under-exposed image. Tried to keep the highlights from blowing out and gave it a little contrast. what do you think?
Wala na siyay makeup sir ... we asked her to do it on her own .. but she wasn't able to bring her own makeup kit.Originally Posted by TwinJet

Sometimes I do. But Tatiana is natural ... she knows how to pose given the situation. I guess she was born for it. Although for the other shots, one of my mentors (William Chua) was giving directions for her ....
You can visit my mentor's gallery from here: http://www.pbase.com/will03/tatiana
@ian
I'm using 85mm F1.8 and 70-200 F2.8 (Sigma) for these shots ... The blur on the skin are done in PP (using surface blur).
@Chrysley
Yup, a contrast adjustment will do. I was blindly looking at these shots when I noticed it a bit dark ... I normally and purposely underexpose my shots by 1 or 2 stops for the details not to be blown out and adjust the rest later in PP. In the pic above, I just used the exposure slider and didn't care to look at the histogram hehe ... blame it on me, I'm a bit sleepy during the time I edited the shots.
A few more Tatiana ...
Her hand on the second pic is a bit blown out, I intended to do that wala lang ... ganahan lang ko
^^she looks a lot like Maria Sharapova...well, they're both Russians..
I might not have the pretty models but I have a beautiful city as my model :mrgreen:
get a 5D and you wont have that problem any moreOriginally Posted by kolz
