First time dog owner

breed: Shih tzu CROSS Shih tzu poodle, bale dominant iyang pagka shih tzu

Put yourself in the mind of the dog. She thinks she's the boss of the house and you her constituents. You have to exert your alpha male status in your pack. Hitting or violent reactions is never the answer. When walking, you command where you go. Hold the leash taught so that she won't bite it. Always be in front or let her walk beside you, never her ahead. You choose where she pees or poops, if she tries to wander away from you, call her name and keep the leash taught beside you. When opening doors, never let her go ahead of you, you first and she has to get your permission to use the door to ho out. Never play tug of war with your dog. You can actually read this in the internet. Dogs need a leader, it's actually stressful for a dog to be the pack leader. Be firm rather than maloloy-on, your dog will actually appreciate this better. Where you went wrong:
1) Your dog is aggressive sa food kay she thinks she is the alpha or the full owner of her food
Fix: Before you feed her or give her the food bowl/treat/water. Tawaga ang iyang name para naay response, dog can't deny the smell of goodies to your demands. After you give her the food, move the bowl around using a stick and then i.bawi. Kung ma suko, spray with water from water bottle or kasab.i. If she does not. Praise and give it back. Repeat several times until you can pick up food using your hands.

2) Don't freak out, the puppy has never seen or felt the leash. Patience is key.
Fix: Day1-Leave leash attached to puppy for 20mins-1hr sa balay. Remove after session para iwas disgrasya. let her get used to the drag/weight of leash. Day2-5 Every now and then hold the leash to let her understand that you are incontrol of her leash. She will bite and tug, kasab.i or spray water and say "bad". If she will not tug and bite, give treats and praise. Repeat until you can hold onto the leash for extended amounts of time.

3) Your dog is under stimulated/ lack of exercise.
Fix: Go on walks, play fetch the ball with her, give her toys. NEVER play tug of war or wrestle, this will encourage aggression. If she will be greedy with her toys or growl, kasab.i or spray water and say "bad".

4) Use the words "Good girl, (dogs name)" Repeat 2x while petting her for praise. "Bad girl, (dogs name)!" 2x when scolding. Be consistent, use firm tone of voice to get your dog to submit to the idea that you are master of the house. Ayaw gamitag force. The dog is aware of what you are trying to covey from the tone of your voice. Scold when she is caught in the act of doing/during a "bad" thing, ayaw nang taud-taod na nga panghitabo, it will confuse her.

NOTE: CONSISTENT and FIRM behavior from you is important as trainer and pack leader so that she will be less aggressive. Ayaw kahadlok sa imong iro, show her you are more "aggressive".
Dog walks are important, but you can bond thru other ways like play and grooming her.
(Tried and tested method, that trained askals, jap spits, rottweilers, GSD, and Belgian Malinois.)

Bro i think in scolding the dog you should not say her name like "bad, <NAME>" kay ana c caesar millan ma associate daw sa dog iyang name sa bad. Dapat ang <NAME> kay pareha radaw na sa "COME"

nah parehas gyud tag experience TS.. akoa puppy nga japenese poodle kay buotan kaayu pag itoy... unya pag dako kay isog naman kaayu... tan-aw naku kay characteristics gyud nah sa mga iro nga ingon anang breed... ki-at.. langas... isog kung makakita og laing iro... dili sad mo patu-o kung badlungon... Dogs are also territorial... isog sila basta naa sila sa ilang area... last time akoa gipainum tablet para deworming akong iro... grabeh ka isog... iluwa ang tablet unya masuko lang... unya kung dalhon sa Vet... then ang doctor magpainum kay pirti ka santos oie... pirti ka puyo unya nig painum sa tablet kay inum dayon... ahaka lagih iroa...
