you will be prompted whether to keep your files or do a fresh install.
if you choose to keep your files, Windows will still advise you to have some apps and drivers uninstalled as they are incompatible or
may cause problems during Windows 8.1 installation
You may be able to ignore some of the warnings for those apps and drivers listed pero naay uban
nga dili gyud mo-proceed ang installation until you uninstalled that particular program.
during my upgrade, as i recall it was Daemon Tools and the bluetooth driver.

as usual the update f#CK up the bluetooth again as with earlier updates

tip for those using Atheros bluetooth on their laptops with 8.1

-after updating, turn on bluetooth and check Device manager
    - if naay yellow mark and Code 43 error on your bluetooth device uninstall the drivers via Device manager
sa next prompt you "check" box sa "delete drivers from computer"
    -restart
-after restart, go Device manager and check bluetooth - it should now be Generic Bluetooth radio or something basta naay generic. if Atheros gihapon ang bluetooth and naay yellow mark, you didn't uninstall the driver properly.
    - if Generic Bluetooth , close Device Manager. We will not update via Device Manager kay moingon rana nga up to date ang drivers.
    - Open Windows Update, you will see now nga naa Atheros Bluetooth update available for you. it's only about 600+kb.
    Download that update.
    - go to device manager it should now be Atheros with no yellow mark.
-restart and go back to Device manager to double check. it should still have no yellow mark on Atheros.
-if naay yellow mark again, repeat the process.

To illustrate just how f#CK up Windows is, if imo tan-awon ang driver version sa imong download from Windows update,
you will see that it is the same driver you uninstalled earlier.

edit- latest update was more than 2GB total including office 2013 updates
