    Default No Wage Increase....

No wage increase has been implemented in this year as what comes out yesterday after the 6-man panel member voting for it. their are only two member voted for the increase and of course it is the labor sector, and the non-labor sector voted not to increase this year coz if they pursue on increasing they will close the company and many employees will suffer.

    when ta mo-increase ani....

Mas maayo pa cguro ang price drop down.

Kung mag sige ug appreciate, unya walay protection ikahatag ang gobyerno sa manufacturing sector, purchasing power will go down, and we will end up with a recession. Unfortunately, imports and buy and sell businesses are the ones surviving, while local manufacturers are either downsizing or closing altogether.

As of now, okey pa ang no wage increase. It's better to have no wage increase than having your name that will lose your job once there's an increase.

few years back, I know the minimum wage in Beijing china converted to philippine terms is P180/day. Vietnam is P150/day this month's forex rate. To compare, manila is P300/day, Cebu is P241/day. China and Vietnam's manufacturing sector is booming, so with thailand. Manufacturing is what drives their economy, and it shows in their trade balance surplus, among other parameters. Us in the Philippines is relying on OCW remittances, hot money inflow/outflow from smuggling and other illegal business activities, and call centers.

We need to increase productivity, not minimum wage. And we can't make it if we have unions dictating business what to do, on threat of strikes, and government yoyo policies, not to mention corruption at all levels.
