Default Frankincense and myrrh -- pure and genuine incense

UPDATE: We also have incense starter kits (containing brass burners, charcoal, and incense) for beginners. Take a look at https://www.istorya.net/forums/everyt...-charcoal.html

If you are interested in the scent of incense, you will love the smell of the real deal, which is what I'm offering here.

I'm selling PURE frankincense from Northeast Africa and PURE myrrh from Asia / India.

Christians know that these two (frankincense and myrrh) are two of the gifts brought by the Wise Men from the East at the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. The third one, of course, was gold -- but I'm not selling that.

Frankincense and myrrh are the base ingredients of the incense that most Christian churches use at their religious ceremonies. If you've been to a Catholic Mass, the scent may have become familiar to you. But, as you will discover if you try these pure resins, the incense used at Mass smells different from the smell of pure frankincense and myrrh.

I have noticed for the past few years that the scent of the incense used in Catholic Masses in Cebu smells so horrid and acrid. I found out that the incense commonly used these days is of cheap quality. It smells awful, makes your throat itch, and sometimes triggers asthma attacks (or even just a psychological desire to flee or escape). It is not the smoke and smell that a dignified liturgy deserves.

But, this incense I'm offering is PURE frankincense and PURE myrrh. The resin grains (also known as "tears") are meant to be burned on hot, live coals. Most people who use incense burn it during prayer time. Some burn it for the pleasure of the aromatic scent.

Consider these resins for giving away as gifts to friends and family or as offerings to your church. Here are the updated prices of our incense:

    • San Pedro Calungsod (pure and genuine Biblical frankincense) — 1.0 ounce pack — PHP 290.00
    • San Lorenzo Ruiz (pure and genuine sweet frankincense resin from Northeast Africa — 1.0 ounce pack — PHP 290.00
    • Kyrie Eleison (pure Asian myrrh gum resin) — 1.0 ounce pack — PHP 270.00

Each purchase includes free basilica-grade charcoal tablets (2 pieces per pack).

You may pay via PayPal, bank transfer, bank deposit, or Palawan Express remittance.

Willing to meet up for orders of 4 packs or more — and, in which case, I can allow cash-on-delivery (COD) payment.

This is a photo (above) of a large pure frankincense nugget burning on top of a live charcoal tablet. It smells heavenly.

Tomorrow is Laetare Sunday -- the 4th out of 5 Sundays that lead up to Holy Week. It's a good time to burn incense not just at Holy Mass but also in private prayer at home.

Ever tried celebrating Earth Hour with incense?

Today is Laetare Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent. Did the priest at Holy Mass today wear rose/pink instead of violet/purple? Was the altar decorated with flowers today? These are just some of the things that differentiate this Sunday from the other Sundays of Lent. Of course, I presume that incense was used today. Sunday is the Lord's Day. Have a blessed Sunday, one and all!
