i agree. DSLRs are not like other electronic devices that you can simply pull apart, clean, and put back together again. best have it done by those with the training and equipment to do it. i'm no longer familiar about shops here in cebu who does good work cleaning lenses, so let's just wait for others to suggest. good luck!

Unsay naay fungus, ang lens or ang sensor surface? Kung sa sensor, di pa na mao ang sensor nga imong makita inig pakli nimo sa mirror while walay lens. Iya pa na filter or protective cover, ang sensor naa sa luyo ana. It can be cleaned using a procedure given with every sensor cleaning kit. We used to clean that area of the camera during EB, tampohay lang sa sensor cleaning kit ug kinsay isog mo limpyo maoy mo trabaho, regardless sa brand sa slr. Those were the days nga wala pa nang self cleaning feature inig on or off sa dslr.

Kung lens imong pasabot nga naay fungus, have it cleaned by those with the right tools and know how. Ang importante ani nga tool ang spanner. Kung naay mapalit ana dire, sayon ra na limpyohan ang lens.

did a check with my lens inventory. duha jud ka lens ang naay fungi. so sad.

contacted a few known repair shops.
    their rates are the following:
    A. 2000 per lens (AS Fortuna), 3 days turn around time
    B. 2500 per lens, (Osmeņa), 2 days turn around time
    C. Price TBD, (Mango), TBD turn around time
    D. Price TBD, (Guizo), TBD turn around time
    E. Nikon Japan, asked a favor from a fellow istoryan to canvas. No info yet as to how much exactly.
