Charter change going to Federalism could be the last option but how to resolve below remain a question. From my post on the other thread:
DISADVANTAGES:
- Duplication of services
- Citizens living in different parts of the country will be treated differently, not only in spending programs, such as welfare, but in legal systems that assign in different places different penalties to similar offenses or that differentially enforce civil rights laws
- Disputes over power/national supremacy versus state's rights
- International relations – states may pass laws that counter national policy
- more cons
- will cause divisiveness and make the country more fragmented
- greedy politicians and local oligarchs will still be in power
- will create chaos on how to divide the country into regional governments; greedy politicians and powerful people would want more power and resources
- no assurance to end rebellion against the government
- no assurance to be successful especially the culture of the Filipinos
- if not successful, it will be difficult to change back to democratic/centralized form of government
Kagamay ras Pilipinas bahin-bahinon pa gyud.
We need a patriotic strong man to clean this country and keep the people united.
we need another tyrant greedy power hungry ruler dictator.
para mamingaw ang mga forums, mingaw ang karsada(menos aksidente unya walay trapik) kay maglakaw na lang ang kadaghanan, lol.
what if lain na lang nga race ang mo dala sa pinas? what if magpa under ta sa japan or singapore? naa kahay changes?
im for a Federal system why ? so each province can enjoy what ever they earn, their taxes goes to that province and its development. Example ...today people in Cebu, Davao, Baguio and other parts of the country are subsidizing both MRT and LRT fares so that people in Manila can enjoy a lower fares...it that correct ?
I will marry a beautiful lady and then we will create our own kingdom and will eat chips together and drink soda.
