    i believe miss crinkle's point is that the show is not a rip-off. di ba miss crinkle?
    they are not trying to copy any idea or imitate any show and claim originality.
    they are making a tagalog version of the mexican telenovela.
    same storyline, same characters, same everything.
    only the actors and the language have changed.
    just like some films. take for instance jane austen's pride and prejudice which have been done 4 times already.
    in 1940 with greer garson (as elizabeth bennet), 1985 with elizabeth garvie, 1996 with jennifer ehle, and lately with keira knightley as the spirited character.

    originality is not an issue here because they are just merely rehashing what's been done already.
    it would have been, if they put on a new title but that's another story.

    you got a point there. this gma 7 marimar is a legal imitation. i believe the word is ADAPTATION -> mexican production will be "filipinized" (forgive the term). im sure they will have marian eat rice instead of tortillas...convert mexican fiestas to local ones if needed. things like that.

    toink...i still believe that it still shows creativity...dili raman pud kita ra ang nagbuhat ug mga remakes...even hollywoods they do also remakes...that's part of the industry...naa man pud tay mga original pud jud na mga obra...ang nakanice lang aning mga remakes kay na kay maecompare...mas nice di ba kay mahimo na nuon tang mga critics...hekhek...
