During elections, he'd go by the name Manong Johnny. After he wins, he'll hold anyone in contempt for not addressing him as "Your Honor". If you remember several years ago, there was a Senate investigation where representatives of Standard Chartered Bank was brought in to explain certain things. The poor StandChart reps were detained (in contempt of the Senate chamber) as per Enrile's behest. They were only trying to explain the mechanics of some esoteric financial instruments and Enrile felt insulted that he was being lectured to and that the StandChart guys failed to punctuate their sentences with "Your Honor".
Anyway, what goes around comes around. But the guy's 90. You must've asked yourselves what the Philippines did to deserve this.
