    Not So OT:

no more such thing as "safer place". 911 and Katrina in the U.S., SARS in hongkong and canada, floods and heat wave in europe, bombings in iraq, abduction and killings in afghanistan, tsunami in indonesia, politics in the Philippines.

just reflecting on the human condition. serious.

death toll will go higher from this evening news dri kai daghan pa wla makuha nga cars under water. na inpection na daw ni sya and repair is on going until this happened.also, the design of this bridge is more than 40 yrs old na. wear and tear nya wheather condition, i would not believe it na "substandard or poorly made" not until officials will confirm it.

I drive over this bridge several times a week, I am still alive. I'd like to thank God, my parents, and umpa lumpas for being so lucky.

None of which are even remotely similar to this bridge. Faulty engineering and accidents has been a fact of life for humans since we built our first mud huts.

Your chances of dying are better when you drive faster than of the bridge collapsing on you. The irony.
