You might also want to check the specification of the motherboard you want to buy since some B85 motherboards doesn't have a USB 3.0 front panel header(like a certain MSI board I bought for a friend).
Thanks for the heads up bro. I really thought all of these chipsets (H81, B85, H87) have all the specs I need.

I want a USB 3.0 in the front panel. I think I'll choose a B85 motherboard and make sure that there's a USB 3.0 header in it. (Is it correct?)

    Thanks again!

Good choice and good advice from @Ravager.
Just make sure you grab a usb3 ready chassis.

PCIE 3.0 is backwards compatible with PCIE 2.0 so you can use a PCIE 3.0 GPU with a PCIE 2.0 motherboard. There's also no noticeable difference between using a PCIE 2.0 slot and a PCIE 3.0 slot if you're using only one GPU. The only thing PCIE 3.0 is good at when compared to the PCIE 2.0 is SLI/Crossfire. Maybe in the future there will be cards that fully utilize a PCIE 3.0 slot, however by that time, PCIE 4.0 will be released so there's really no reason to go for a PCIE 3.0 motherboard except if it has the features you wanted.

Im perfectly aware you can use a pcie3.0 card on a pcie2.0 port. Pcie 2.0 is nearing choke point. There is now 1% loss on a 680 card. Even more on a 780ti about 3% which is already a big deal which is every cent spent on the card. Surely next gen uber end cards are sure to saturate 2.0. The catch-phrase on my previous statement was uber-end.
Not unless he's looking forward to another procie-board upgrade within 2 years.

Like I said, no noticeable difference. You'll only lose 1-3 FPS when using high-end GPUs and almost no performance loss at all when using entry level to mid range level GPUs. I doubt he'll be buying ultra high end GPUs anyway since he's clearly going for a budget motherboard. I'm not against a PCIE 3.0 motherboard though. I'm just saying PCIE 2.0 isn't a deal breaker.

Well if the premium over an H81 was no more than 500 bucks, why not?
