Suggestions brad, go to SM and check all computer shops there. There's too many to mention on this forum, but I assure you daghan jud kaayo adto.

Ako ika recommend nimo is the following specs:

    Intel i3 to i5
    4-8 GB RAM
500 to 1TB Hard Drive (Normally 500 GB is already good enough)
Intel HD Graphics or much better 1 GB Dedicated card

Also, yes 14" ang mas daghan kaysa 11". So, consider checking Nutech, Lenovo, Samsung, Asus, HP, Toshiba, and a lot more. Daghan jud kaayo ngadto within your budget.

    Good luck brad.

Sakto ni @6strings . I would have suggested this also. Mas maayo if mo adto jud ka personally. Kay each store mo differ lang gamay ang prices and then sa freebies na daugon. Pag gather og let's say 3 options then baLik direh para maka hatag mi og pros and cons sa imong mga napiLian. And para naa sad maka hatag nimo og reviews.
