"interesting" is a very relative term. at the end of the day, it all depends on the interest of the photographer...and it varies from person to person.

Im not an expert but I will answer :

Everybody wants to be a glamour photographer, right? shooting models in bikinis, events and so many sexytimes..however, in the long run, you will be able to realize what you really2 want in this craft. Then you choose, Advertising, Wedding, Landscapes (selling stock photos) etc., which could return a handful of money to our gears investment, right?

So the most interesting subject is the one you really2 want, the subject you can express your self and eyes into, like the saying goes, “I wanted people to see what my eyes could see in my pictures”.

My Interests :
Portrait ( People/Fashion) – 60%
Landscapes – 20%
Still Life – 20%

bdway, about my photography preference, I shot anything possible given the opportunity with no particular interest and i'm a master of nothing.

I think if i'll be a prof. photograher , i'll go for candid shots and photojournalism....the picture below is very natural... i love it....

I agree with Ian here. Not everybody wants to be a glamour photographer. My mentor from the U.S. never wanted to be one and continues not to be one but has done group exhibitions around the bay area. I didn't start as a glamour photographer, I started with landscapes and was contended with it until portraiture came my way.


My interests: (in order)

1. Fashion / Glamour
2. Portraiture
3. Advertising
4. Landscapes

While I often shoot corporate events, it's not really my interest. It's a job.

I'm just a hobbyist so glamour photography isn't on my list. I prefer to shoot candids of people (my kids being my favorite subject), landscapes and night shots.
