i record songs as a hobby, and the MDR is my monitor headphone, the sound is pretty straightforward, although the beyer would've been a wise choice, but its too expensive for me..

Nice monitors Salamat ug naay nagpatest nko sa Sony 7506, it's sound reminds me of Brainwavz HM5 major difference lng sa mids.

I'm sorry maybe you mean true LOD(Line out dock). Apple Ipod's LODs, I'm not sure about which Gen. or model or older ones if there was ever an apple with Line out that truly by-passes amp circuitry, basta older model gen 5 ata was the good one sakto ba @shryock? Usually ipod's Line-out is just like the equivalent to 100% volume from the headphone jack output so niagi ghapon sa ila amp circuit after their DAC.

agree ko ani. older gen ipods use wolfson dacs which is presumably better than the current Cirrus Logics used by the new ipods today. Fiio, Astel&Kern, as well as many others use wolfsons too.

my setup is basically built on this method.


DAP > LOD cable > Portable Amp > IEM
HiFi music > pre-amp quality > Portable Amp SQ applied > better listening experience

so yes. Utilizing the line-out of ipod classics bypass the internal amp.
I confirm that you wil be listening to a pre-amp audio quality.

Im expecting to buy an HD660 from @fetzhola, as a personal preference im planning to modify it as im kind of expecting that the pads might get uncomfy if i wear it for hours,. Anybody have an idea where to buy DT770 velour pads and headphone cables?

Saving up for an open can like the 600 or a 650... Hinay hinay lang para dili ma bankrupt hehehe... The dt1350 and HD25 does sound great and more alive though...
