Unsay nindot na dog food for a 4-month old shih tzu?

Hello istoryans! I have a four-month old shih tzu. ako gipakaon niya kay high protein na dog food but when I brought him to CVD, the Vet recommended Science Diet Small Bites for Puppy kay inig hikap daw sa back sa ako puppy kay ma-feel dayon ang bone, dapat daw unoran gamay mao iya to gi-recommend kay maayo daw to for my pet. The problem is, Mahal rajud kaayo siya, murag ma-out of budget ko if kadto ako sigihon. ni-try rako palit ug 1 pack but i dont think makapadayon jud ko na kadto ako ipakaon na niya. Im not really good about dog stuff kay 1st time jud nako mag-alaga ug dog.

Ngayo unta ko help ninyo istoryans. Unsa nindot na dog food na di pud kaayo mahal, kanang madala rapud sa bulsa ba pero makapalami pud sa ako puppy. Any suggestion pud about shampoo and vitamins? Ok ra mag-milk siya?

Try Acana Sport and Agility. I can swear this food made a huge improvement in my Malinois puppies and even my Labrador Retriever. My Lap has no problem with eating but still, I felt she was on the thin side for a Lab. After I fed them this, she had more energy and is now well padded. Be careful though feeding this to adult dogs. They can easily gain weight, if they are not active. It's sold at Legends in Pardo and Caminade Pet shop. It's a bit expensive but worth it. There is also Go Naturals Fit and Free puppy. I have not tried it yet since Legends does not deliver to Lapu Lapu City. It contains the highest number of calories per serving. Protein is 33 percent, but the sources are all high quality free grown chicken and fish, not rendered meat. Also this dogfood is good for your dog's overall health. It's what I use for my picky eaters. I also used Orijen Puppy but I find it too rich, that the poop discolors the Bermuda grass.

The price of Acana Sport and Agility is only 2,200 for 13kg with free delivery. 2,250 if you live in Mactan Island. Orijen Puppy is more expensive 2,760. This is great for younger newly weaned puppies. The price is quite good if you check what you are getting. With other dogfoods, you may get a lot in terms of Kilograms but these are all fillers and low quality ingredients. Also, with Acana, you don't need to feed a lot, just very little.

If you consider 2,200 too much, next would be Vitality Puppy at 1780. All puppies that were fed this dogfood, from the breeders were healthier looking than those fed with Beef Pro puppy. I don't like Science Diet or Royal Canin. Often, vets recommend certain brands because they get benefits from the company. Seldom you would find a vet who will recommend Acana, Orijen, or Go Naturals.

Here is a website that does reviews on different dogfood brands. You may not find Vitality or Beef Pro here since these dogfood are marketed under a different name in North America.

Try calling Legends in Pardo phone no. 2723332. They might not be open on Sundays but may deliver if you buy a bag of Acana puppy. I suggest Acana Small Breed Puppy over Vitality puppy. Make sure your dog can tolerate chicken. Otherwise, there is Acana Pacifica or Lamb and Apple. Go Fit and Free puppy is also good. They may be a bit expensive but worth paying for with the quality you get. If the quality is good, you are not likely to take your pet often to the vet. Otherwise, try Caminade in Mabolo. I think it's the only branch of Caminade open on Sundays, phone no. 2336688. The customer service at Legends is a lot better and they take time to answer your questions. Just my two cents.

^^ Perhaps less smell that means less palatability but overall this is a good brand of dog food. Better absorption, less stool, less stool odor, great skin and coat, etc.
