Jobs available for those preferably with BOCAD Software knowledge but may consider others who have extensive experience doing structural fabrication drawings using other 3D CAD softwares.
Candidates who do not have actual experience in steel detailing as required are discouraged to apply.
The following positions are available for urgent hiring:
1 Post for Senior Structural Drafting Checker
Main Accountabilities:
- Must have experience and knowledge in checking structural drawings for steel fabrications for North America (Canada and USA)
- Coordinating and interfacing as required with the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, designers, drafters and with management.
- Drawing checking and ability to use 2D/3D CAD is required
- Must have a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, license not required but a plus
- Must have an extensive knowledge in reading structural engineering drawings to interpret and apply welding symbols in accordance with AWS D1.1 and CSA W59-0.3 (Structural Welding Code)
4 Posts for Structural Junior CAD Drafters- Drafting Cleaning and Detailing
* 3D Modelling Experience using BoCAD Software an advantage
Main Accountabilities:
- To produce detailed 2D Drawings from 3D Model
-To generate MTO and other required information from 3D Model
- With at least 2years experience structural CAD type of drawings
- The ability to apply basic Math Skills
- Must have a good understanding of both 2D and 3D
- The ability to pay close attention to details, precision and accuracy
- A plus if there is an experience with North American clients (both imperial and metric), specifically Canadian
- An advantage if applicant knows how to read, interpret and apply welding symbols in accordance with AWS D1.1 and CSA W59-0.3 (Structural Welding Code)
Important Notes:
- Computer tech knowledge is a main requirement (Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and understanding of the English language both oral and written
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: fast-paced environment, work under pressure,tight deadlines
- Must be available to work with mid-shift schedule: 2PM til 12MN, Phil time
- Must be prepared and available to attend a conference call at requested times with other offices in Canada and India.
