There are places where police officers dont have guns. Well, at some point gi wala na nila coz they know deep inside nga well disciplined ang ilahang mga mamamayan.

So, owning a gun is just the first step.
And the PNP is not the sole cure for our curse.
And lastly, we should develop listening skills to obtain proper knowledge.
Coz intellectually, Pinoys have the "may sariling mundo" sickness.

I guess that issue is not fit for discussion here, in the meantime. kay basin maabot sa tae ang estorya.. hehehe

For now e limit lang sa nato within sa primary characters sa usa ka "riding-in-tandem" criminal. These are the main points to consider:

    1. Identity of the Riders- citizen profile
    2. Motorcycle- as a medium to commit crime. The influx of cheap, affordable motorcycles to our country in recent years bringing in new technologies increasing speed and acceleration, to the advantage of the criminals making them two steps ahead from law enforcement..
    3. Firearms- the age old problem of curbing down loose firearms.
    4. Law Enforcement methodologies that need to be upgraded to keep with the times. Don't forget the logistics and other resources.
    5. Police Visibility- if we base on the current population growth of our country vis a vis with the meager budget for the entire PNP, then it is downright stupid to recruit members just to man the streets 24/7. Remember that police visibility is just a small part of their day-to-day activities in police work. Let's look for ALTERNATIVES.
    6. Enactment of Laws- that properly address the problem, it should be BOTH SHORT TERM and LONG TERM. Dili pwede isa lang it should be both.
I understand but looking at the root cause of the problem will definitely help our law enforcement solve these crimes. Mostly sa atoa man gud ig-on daun ang ang tools or instruments sa crime which are inefficient solutions.

One of the reasons sa mga riding in tandem criminals --> money

unemployed --> need money --> resort to criminal acts --> theft, robbery

identity/profile of the criminals --> age? history of offenses?

who are the most targets --> establishments? banks? students? call center agents?

motive --> drugs? personal revenge? act as gun-for-hire?

short term solution: police visibility, constant checkpoints, CCTVs in strategic areas, public awareness

    public awareness:
    - do not talk to strangers
    - do not walk alone
    - do not carry bulk amount of money alone especially going to malls or banks
    - do not fight back to robbers, be attentive in recognizing the faces of the perpetrators and plate number of the motorcycle used
    - report to authorities any incident, this will help and alert them in future cases and somehow solve the crime

long term: stop unemployment --> this will stop loose firearms and drug businesses

could it be that unemployment is just a result of laziness, stubbornness, stupidy, lack of morals...etc? goes back to the individuals, not the government, right?

One of the causes why naay manulis is because of drugs. These people have the need to use drugs on a continuous basis so always nila need ang kwarta.

How about i legalize nalang ang drugs and have the government have a facility nga pwede manuyop ang mga tao unya i keep sila while high? Like sa ilang gi buhat sa Colorado, US nga di legalize ang sale sa marijuana? Once you get rid of the illegal sellers of drugs, there is no need for these users to result in robbing/hurting people for money kay libre naman ang drugs.

Let these drug users get high all they want and keep them locked up while they are high for the safety of the public.

In my opinion, mura'g brutal ra sad kaayo ang imo suggestion boss.

As of now, ang ako ra jud ma-suggest kay ang police visibility ra jud.

maybe pero dagahan man police sa sulod sa office or station instead sa streets wa man tah kakita gyud na nag foot patrol. the best gyud mu simulate sila crime once a month then the response time should be measured.Radios ug vehicles man tinhali ang need nila kaayo.
