bisag asa.
mao ra sweldoha.. hehehe
CIT or USC, but my choice is CIT
CIT-U mga brod! hahaha
CIT jud. although former carolinian ko, di man ma-deny ang feats sa CIT pud. nindot man sad USC-TC. ex nako nag ECE man to but based sa akong mga nakita ug experience kay naa man sad ko cousin sa CIT, lahi rajud kaayo.
if entry jobs here in the Phils. pareha ra suwledo but sa supervisory, executive positions in large corporations and multinational companies, anha na ka kita difference in salaries plus commissions and bonuses.
In the 60's to 70's the topnotch engineers from cebu are from CIT especially in ME, EE, CE but in the 80's to 90's USC-TC start to emerge as producer of topnotch engineers in CHE, ME, EE, CE & ECE as well USJR have topnotch engineers too. Now these guys are almost retired and many of them have become senior executives of large corporations such as San Miguel Corp. (one of its Vice President and first woman brewmaster is Engr. Rebecca Sabando Flores, 1st place CHE board exam, magna cum laude, CHE at USC-TC); Phil Long Distance Co. PLDT, CEO & President, Engr. Nazareno, 4th pkace, EE board exam & cum laude, EE at USC-TC; among others!
Those are the topnotchers but for the average engineers many alumni from USC-TC, CIT-U and USJR are now gainfully employed and established their families abroad especially in US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand as they and their families are now citizens of those countries. How did they attain those status first and foremost is HARD WORK, DILIGENCE, PATIENCE & CONSISTENCY TO THEIR VISION IN LIFE! This values and virtues started during their student days, they may not graduate with honors and topnotcher in board exam but they have decent grades in their TOR during college days, with those values and ethics in work they were promoted and pursued further studies and continuing education to acquire specialized skills, many took graduate studies which allowed them to reach the top positions in the corporate arena. These people have a vision and with determination, hard work, networking they are have high paying if not lucrative million pesos earnings / income!
Few of these average guys are the Techno-Entrepreneurs. with Vision, Hard work, Diligence and Consistency they are able to apply their engineering and management knowledge and skills to establish, expand and pilot their own business / enterprise to become leading companies in the industry. Example of this is Engr. Justin Uy (ChE'84 at USC-TC), CEO & President of Profoods International Corp. the largest mango / fruit processing and exporter with 5 fruit processing plants & factories in cebu, luzon & mindanao, he hasa been awarded as "mango king exporter" of the Phils. and TOYM (ten outstanding young men of the Phils) and outstanding chemical engineer in field of entrepreneurship & international trade. A young billionaire he also owns new commercial mall in mandaue city as well major stcokholder of Imperial Resort Hotel in mactan. Other techno-entrepreneurs are in the construction industry such Dr. Dakay, owner & CEO of Dakay Construction (CE graduate USC-TC) and another alumni of USC-TC the former Benson Dakay (deceased) he was considered the Seaweeds King being the founder, CEO & President of Shemberg Biotech Corp. the largest manufacture and exporter of Carrageenan (extract from seaweeds lato), he was a TOYM awardee and top exporter award from the Phil. Chamber of Exporters, Manufacturers & Industry.
