Hi guys, I hope someone can clarify this problem for me.
PLDT recently changed our modem to a modem/router (PLDT MyDSL Prolink H5004N). The problem is that the LAN ports only work if the cable is only up to about 2 meters long. If it's pass that, there is no signal anymore (no internet connection to the computer or another router).
We don't have this problem before when PLDT provided the modem only and we connected our own router. We have wires running around the house from the old router for units with no wifi capabilities.
Is their modem/router really just capable of powering such short cable runs? Or do I need to ask for another replacement modem/router; the one we got might be broken? PLDT response is really slow and we really have to be proactive when it comes to problems but I am just a noob.
Thanks and happy new year...
