Big issue kaau nila ang salary cap and max contract thing oi, that was suppose to be normal, and the paycut thing was suppose to be the odd one, but these Heat fans are trying to turn the world upside down.
Bisan pag piyongan nako neh duwaa lam nag kinsay mo daog... #HAYSUSko![]()
So farmar could be back tomorrow. Mai nlng. Myta wai setbacks.
Good to see that the haters and the fanboys alike are still here, Merry Christmas to y'all!!
Back to B-Ball...
Though I may be inclined to agree that Kobe is being overpaid, I still think it may not be a bad thing. On a business side, it's a no-brainer. You don't pay peanuts to the guy bringing you all the big bucks. You bend over backwards to let him stay. Is that a gamble? Yeah, a big one. But knowing how much work Kobe will put into his game after his injuries makes it seem like a good gamble.
Does the contract hurt the organization? On paper, it does. But consider what that overpaid contract tells 2014, 2015, 2016 free agents. It puts it out there that the Lakers are willing to pay a King's ransom to take care of their top players. Suddenly, predictions of Kevin Love, Carmelo Anthony and other marquee players going to La-La land start popping up over the world wide web. And mind, the Lakers can clear up enough cap space to snag another franchise player. And if you ask me, if a player is not from the Heat, the Thunder, the Spurs or the Pacers, don't kid yourself.. that guy is looking at other teams with one eye on the Lakers.
What about role players and the rest of the team? They will come. Farmar was making big bucks but he accepted "bus-fare" pay just to be with the Lakers. Nick Young is having the time of his life in LA and will likely be back. Johnson, Sacre, Kaman and Meeks won't be seeing too much of the court if not in LA and they'd be thinking of coming back. If somehow the Lakers can pair Kobe with another big name player, expect an improvement on the list of possible players itching to be on the roster.
Salary cap? Oh please. It only worries small market teams. They're gonna be alright. And hey, they're only gonna overpay for two years. Nothing much to worry about.
In summary, do I think this team can compete for the crown this year? Not if they're playing in the WNBA.
Am I worried for the future? Uhmmm.. Ho-hummmm..
If Lakers continue to lose Heat fans would say Lakers aren't going nowhere this season, not even next year cause Kobe got a max contract.
If Lakers Win Heat fans would say Lakers is a Better team without Kobe.![]()
