A music genre is a category (or genre) of pieces of music that share a certain style or "basic musical language" (Peter van der Merwe 1989, p.3).
Music may also be categorised by non-musical criteria such as geographical origin, though a single geographical category will normally include a wide variety of sub-genres. A music genre (or subgenre) could be defined by the techniques, the styles, the context and the themes (content, spirit).

kabasa ka sa akong gibold?
that sums it all... ang kanang gi bold nimo mao na maoy tubag sa kung asa lugara ang banda (british rock band, japanese rock band, american rock band, pinoy rock band....etc...). og ang sunod sa imong gi bold maoy tubag og nganong dili matawag ang Bisrock og genre... IMO...
hehehe... wiki can be an ass sometimes, its either youll learn from there or make things more confusing.
i still dont think Bisrock is a genre though. my bases of a genre is the sound itself. every sub genre has a sound of its own, other than that is just plain ridiculous to me.IMO .... we could play a latin jazz song and sing it in bisaya but its still a latin jazz song nonetheless.
anyways, everything i posted is of my opinion only and was never made to insult nor hate the people who liked bisrock.
i respect whatever everyone believed about bisrock......
