TRANSACTIONS:
F Kurt Thomas signed with Seatle
The Seattle SuperSonics acquired veteran forward Kurt Thomas. He comes at the price the rebuilding Sonics were seeking. He has one season left on a contract that will pay him $8.1 million next season.
Derek Fisher officially signed with Lakers
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Fisher signed a reported 3-year deal for about $14 million to return to the Lakers. Fisher came into the NBA with the Lakers in 1996, the same year as Bryant, and the two played together eight years, winning three NBA championships. He hopes that with his presence might make Kobe Bryant rethink his demand to be traded.
Gerald Wallace re-signed with Charlotte
Gerald Wallace signed his six-year, $57 million contract with Charlotte on Thursday and capped an expensive month for a Bobcats team pushing to make the playoffs next season. Wallace's deal includes several incentives that could pay him up to an additional $2 million per season. The sixth year of the deal is a player option.
Chris Mihm decided to re-sign with Lakers
The Lakers also re-signed Chris Mihm to a two-year, $5-million deal. Mihm had received overtures from various teams, including the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls, and Philadelphia 76ers, but ultimately decided to come back to Los Angeles.
Pwede baya i-trade si Rafer Alston, pero noting that he's been with the Rockets for quite a long time makes him more of a liability than Mike James and Steve Francis. However, kung "change" jud ang kinahanglan nila, especially with their new coach in Rick Adelman, si Alston jd ang more likely na ma-trade. PERo, again, kahibawo naman ta ni Adelman nga ganahan siya ug team nga more on passing and executable plays, mas naay chance si Alston na mag-start because last season:Originally Posted by SQUiDnine

Plus, Alston is younger... the line-up would be:
C - Yao
PF - Hayes
SF - Battier
SG - Tmac/Francis/Head/James
PG - Alston/Francis/James
As of now, Head is the odd-man out. Pero kung value-wise lang, si Mike James jud ang trade-able nya lain man sad kung i-trade dayon, so I guess the Rockets could be considering the rumored trade that would send Alston to the Heat for Udonis Haslem and Michael Doleac.
Nice one... syaro di kalusot ug second round ang Rockets.
ing-ana kadako na scandal? Yes, it's NBA's first. And the most likely issue that will haunt them in the years to come since conspiracy after conspiracy has been collected and analyzed whether if all the games in the NBA are fixed, sabotaged or not.Originally Posted by edge827

Haslem could possibly be Houston's missing link and last piece of the puzzle, avoid the guard overload and add more depth inside and help for Yao Ming. He's a better fit for the PF than the shorter Hayes and rookie Scola.Haslem for alston? wel ok pud
Desmond Mason back in Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Bucks will make it official on Monday when they introduce small forward Desmond Mason at a news conference at their Cousins Center training facility in St. Francis.
The 29-year-old free agent will rejoin the Bucks on a two-year deal, after playing the past two seasons with the New Orleans Hornets.
Mason joins Derek Fisher and Steve Francis who returned to their former teams this season.
Antonio McDyess still a Piston
Antonio McDyess re-signed with the Detroit Pistons for a deal that would pay him $14.46M for 2008-2010. Aside from McDyess, the Pistons signed second round draft pick Sammy Mejia, a small forward off DePaul, to a one-year, partially guaranteed contract.
Peterson, now a Hornet
Morris Peterson has signed with the New Orleans Hornets, but as per team policy, terms were not disclosed.
Hornets lose Mason but got a better one in Peterson. Peterson can provide the Hornets more outside shooting, experience and defense.
