    thanks for sharing.. what I usually do kay mo ad2 pa ko sa windows then mo color correct then mag himo man nah siya ug profile sah (*.icc) then pag balik sa ubuntu (now running at 13.10) ako rah i."install" ang icc nga profile

    Mabantayan ba nimo nga naay kausaban inig ma load na nimo ang icc profile in linux?

    Nindot kung kinsay naay spyder 3 magsabot nga magkita with those wala pa makacalibrate aron mag calibrate tanan, bayad lang for service fee for using the device. Di man gud ni permi gamiton nga device ug medyo dako gyud ang investment ani. Kung mobayad lang ang mogamit, makabawibawi pud ang nagpalit sa device. Kung sige sigehon ni nga activity for sure mabawi gyud ang gasto. Example, hatag ug P500 kada usa nga mogamit during sa meeting, kung naay lima kabuok mag calibrate - 5 x P500 na. During that time, mag sharing pud sa mga workflow ug unsa pa diha nga mga maayong pamaagi aron mag improve pud.

    Nag puyo lang una ko with Ubuntu 13.04 based nga distribution kay wala pa koy update sa AMD/ATI driver, dako ug difference sa performance labi na sa RAW processing kung sakto nga driver akong magamit.

    naai gamay shift pero ang accuracy sa iyang calibration is untested.. but it feels/look right

    Good to know mabantayan gyud ang kausaban for the better.

    I noticed nga ang mga devices (Spyder for example) similar ra ug hardware specs across the product range next sa pinakabarato nga product, only sa software capability ra managlahi. It is ok to buy the one that is cheaper and still have the same hardware specs ug paresan lang ug professional grade software from this site:

    dispcalGUI

    We can appreciate more when working with calibrated devices when we do our own prints or when we also make use of the color profile of the target media. That way, dili layo ang color sa makita nato sa display ug sa paper. The most important part here is we have a consistent representation of colors across different devices that when we work on the image like on the computer making some adjustments, changes made are a lot better for we can have a predictable output from the printer.

    Display profiling using devices with ambient light sensor is best done at the working area. I prefer to work with digital photos with less to no ambient light other than the one produced by the display, so it is best for me to generate the display profiles on similar situation if the device I use for profiling have this ambient light sensor.

    There is also another product that is also good other than the Spyder that do display, projector and printer profiling the easy way and is also supported by the open source dispcalGUI, that is the ColorMunki: ColorMunki Display | X-Rite
