    Default Yolanda aftermath

Since super typhoon Yolanda left the PAR, we have all heard heartbreaking stories of death, destruction, and torn lives. But amid all those, it is also inspiring how everyone else immediately stood up and heeded the calls for help.

Here in our photography community, I have seen many fellow hobbyists give what little time they have to secure donations, organize teams, repack goods, and went on rescue, relief, and medical mission to the many hard-hit areas.

As photographers, we are so used to controlled shooting situations (even in street photography) that most have been left in awe once they saw the destruction first-hand. I myself forgot about composition and other technicalities in shooting when I started snapping pictures of the destruction in Bantayan Island.

You can post here the images you took of the Yolanda's aftermath, from donation drives, repacking to actual missions and images of damage and survivors trying to cope with it all.

Since this is a photography forum, please do:
    - post only images you have taken
    - avoid excessive quoting of pictures
    - refrain from discussing politics, complaints, and others not related to photography. there's a separate thread for that in the General Discussion forum.
    - follow general forum rules

    Thank you.

Here's a few of mine taken during our first relief mission to northern Cebu

the road to the north is lined with leafless trees on the side starting from Sogod all the way to Daanbantayan

the entire island still doesn't have power other than a few who have generators. a dark night with the full moon and bare trees puts the scenery in perspective as to how serious the damage is.

in brgy Kampingganon, Bantayan, kids wait for their parents to receive their relief goods. some interior areas of Bantayan Island still did not receive any relief a week after Yolanda.
