Default Looting in Leyte. A proof of the Filipinos' lack of discipline.

OK. So I am here to talk about the massive looting that happened in Leyte recently.

Two nights ago, I was watching the news on the television and the news talked about the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan. I felt so depressed when I saw the catastrophic devastation in Tacloban on television. GMA News even added a melodramatic background music behind their news reports, and my depression got worse.

The stories about the survivors are really heartbreaking. I just couldn't imagine myself on that situation and if ever that happened to me, I would rather commit suicide than suffer! Well I believe suicide is sometimes the answer, and I don't care about your opinion about it, whether you would agree or object, I don't give a damn.

OK. So, now I wanna go straight to the point. After the news reportsabout the skyrocketing number of casualties, fatalities, injuries, and whatever -ies, there was this news report I saw on television about the massive looting that happened in Leyte, after Haiyan or Manang Yolly devastated Tacloban.

People ran towards the entrance of a supermarket in Tacloban, and right there and then, the looting happened. People went inside the supermarket, and they were getting almost anything they could just to survive and avoid death due to starvation. I understand that this is normal, I understand that humans really have a survival instinct and will do everything as long as they can survive. Anyway, the news reporter said that the owner of the supermarket allowed these people to get dry goods IN the supermarket ONLY.

But this doesn't make any sense to me. According to my friend,

I might understand people can take clothes, food, mattress, water and other essentials but Please! APPLIANCES! Wow!

These people lack discipline. It is an unequivocal proof that Filipinos don't have a sense of discipline.

Do you remember the 2011 Japan Quake and Tsunami? Were there any incidents of looting, despite of the horrifying tsunami that ravaged their country? NONE.

    No wonder Philippines
    is POOR.

Nawad-an kug gana muhatag ug donations aning mga tawhana!

Ug ngano mangawat ug appliances? Makabusog diay na? Makatabang diay na ug survive sa mga tawo didtos Tacloban? PAKIEXPLAIN!

    LABYU!

Ghost town naman sad ang Tacloban og Guian. Investors will most likely refused but 2 years after mubalik rana sila. Magtukod dayun na silag resorts, etc.
