Oscar Tabada, OIC of Pagasa Visayas, said Yolanda's strongest winds in Cebu City were felt at 9:28 a.m. with a speed of 126 kph – a big difference from 215 kph winds that slammed Cebu in typhoon Ruping 13 years ago.

215 kph toh ang ruping directly hit Cebu City. c Yolly 235 kph directly hit Northern part of Cebu. grabe ni c yolly.

We are in the city and the winds are being blocked by buildings mao dili kaayo ma feel and power sa baygo. I've been to the entrance of the SRP plaza area, yes, I was crazy enough to go there just out of curiosity, and believe me, it is literally impossible for a human to stand still, let alone brave the ridiculously strong wind. And mind you, we were only on the outer wall of the storm. Another thing is that Ruping was a slow moving storm, this one was a fast one but you can't deny the fact that those areas that the storm has passed right over are devastated.

Wait till you see what happen to the areas near the eye and where the eye landed and passed... Ruping was strong... Yolanda was way more stronger... In Albeura alone... Walay Balay nga naa pay atop... To be safe almost 80 percent cguro ana walay atop... Coz it is impossible for a certain individual to tell an entire province state after just 24 hrs... Plus the emotional state of these individuals may also be bias...

guys, iya rang gi-compare ang gi-kusgon karon ug sa ruping...which i did too...in fact made a big preparation for it...
good thing lang nga wa mo-iskalera sa syudad...tua tawon sa mga agawon sa norte...
