    ^^

Gordon has been with the Philippine National Red Cross for a long time. AS IN before 1986 pa sya nagsugod sa Red Cross. Elected at RC governor on the year 1986 man sya so mas dugay pa syang member sa RC.

    -------------

Grabe sab si Mayor, lagot jud sya ni Gordon? Si Gordon jud personally ang nangadto sa Maribojoc para mag-apud-apud sa relief ng Red Cross?

The Red Cross is certainly within its rights to refuse to work with Evasco and his centralized system—but it is
also a local government official’s duty to do what he thinks is best for his community, including centralizing all aid. And the fundamental principles of humanitarian crises remain the same: Locals are the best source of information about where relief is most needed. They are also the best situated to handle relief.

Boss, I would say that the mayor of maribojuc is a douch bag!

Why? One of my closest friends who is a member of AMRO ( All-Terrain Medical Relief Operations), were the first few Cebu based NGOs who responded after the quake. Their first tour should be in Maribujoc.. Their were confrontations, but later on decided to move to the next town, kay way ayo ang LGU sa maribujoc. Sila ang unang gipapahawa sa Mayor, and the next day, PNRC na!

The story didn't went big kay CEBU organization ra ni, until nahitabo to ang sa PNRC.. And honestly, ang istorya sa mga tawo nga affected didto, only katong Brgy. or constituents nga dapig kang Evasco ang adunay dakong pagtagad...

You can verify this story by contacting any AMRO members too. This group is composed mainly of Surgeons and other medical practitioners & private individuals who has passion about off-road driving...

ddto mi with my private Non government organization sa Tubigon. we distributed some goods and RTW's, medical asssistance and free meals. while at it, we saw kung unsa ka importante and makig coordinate sa LGU. Bisan kinsa nga tawo, pwede mo linya, bata, batan-on, tigulang, pobre, arang2 ug apil ang mga may kaya. dili nimo mo identify kinsa jud ang nanginahanglan ug tabang kay tanan tawo nanglinya and to be fair, all you can do is place some "mark" kung kinsa tong humana. naay mga naglinya nga de alahas pa, mga dato ug itsura though naa say naglinya nga luoy jud kaayo ug itsura. when we went around to see the affected houses, gamay ra ang affected, though naa puy uban nga lusno jud ilang balay, meaning, daghan pud ngadto ang wala naapektahan. dali ra kaayo nahurot ang among tabang and somehow, I felt not very fulfilled knowing that dili tanan nga among natagaan naapektahan.

taud taud, daghan na puy nangabot nga nang distribute ug mga habol, banig, unlan ug uban pa. the same people ang nanglinya. naay uban nga gadala pa ug service, ddto nila etapok ilang mga nakuha sa mga nanghatag ug tabang. naay uban nga dghn ang miyembro sa ilang pamilya, daghan pud kaayo ilang natigom kay isa isa man nanglinya kada miyembro and a lot dont look like they were affected, theres really no way for anyone to find out kung kinsa jud ang dapat tabangan kung modrecho lang ug pang distribute sa ilang tabang...and that is a little frustrating considering the ultimate goal of any organization.

when we also walked around and interviewed some of the people whose houses were torn down, we asked them if they are always aware nga naay tabang nga naga abot didto sa area diin tanan tabang didto ipang distribute, ilang tubag kay luoy...they are not aware all the time nga naa diay niabot nga tabang and they felt sorry and we felt sorry too because we could have done it better if we only realized the need to coordinate with the LGU. everyone in the organization realized this need and will definitely do this NEXT TIME kung naa pa.

kana na lay basihi sa inyong mga opinions Istoryans. I dont think nga ang Red Cross naa silay gibuhat nga sistema to know kung kinsa jud ang ilang tagaan cz it was coincidence that there were 2 trucks from Red cross that also distributed help when we were there ug they basically did the same as we did. pag abot nila ngadto, drecho ra dayon silag distribute sa tanang tawo nga nanglinya regardless if theyre affected or not.

with rough estimate, basing on my own assesment and counting, around 20% lang sa houses nag among naagian ug nakit an ang naapektahan and most of these houses are well-off (concrete).

A local executive who was once a priest.. and a rebel, is almost always arrogant.. to the point that he acts and thinks that he is god.

The Mayor of Maribojoc has still in his mind the communist principle of distributing wealth in this case, aid.
