Toyota Avanza 2013 13L Automatic - Gas Consumption Discussion

Hello Istoryans,
I'd like to open this thread to all of you who are driving a Toyota Avanza 2013 13L Automatic Transmission.
Let's discuss our gas consumption here.

I am under the impression that since this is a 13Liter engine though Automatic it should have better mileage as advertised by Toyota.
16km/Liter (2013 Brand New TOYOTA AVANZA 1.3 & 1.5 VVT-i | TOYOTAnewcars)

Unfortunately, my Avanza is only running 6km/Liter using Shell Unleaded.

My Avanza is a 13L Automatic Transmission (E Model) all stock, nothing has been added nor replaced from what it originally is when it came out from the factory.

The 6km/Liter gas consumption is based on just me riding the car alone for 1 week. I filled up the gas tank in the shell station near our house and use the same gas station refueling.

Here's how I computed my 6km/liter.
(Test A) During my full tank with single click, I set Trip A in the dashboard to 0.0.
Drove as I regularly do for 5 days from Home to Office route alone.
My route is Banawa, Escario, Ayala access road to F. Cabahug and back.
That's 16 km round trip, which is 80 km total for 5 days.
I had it refueled, (2nd) full tank with single click on the same gas pump and loaded about 13.3 liters.

So the computation for Mileage (KM/L) = Trip A (80km) / 2nd Full tank Liters (13.3 Liters)
Mileage (KM/L) = 6.01

(Test B)
I had a full tank but this time I made sure that I see the gas level almost overflowing from the tank.
Set Trip A to 0.0.
Traveled the same route the following week which has the same distance of 80KM for 5 days.
Refueled using the same pump using the same mata-mata method where is I can see the gas level almost overflowing from the tank. Loaded 13.2 liters.

Applying the same formula, Mileage (KM/L) = 80KM / 13.2 Liters
Mileage (KM/L) = 6.06

I hope you can share to me your consumption based on the computation/formula I shared above.

nah!? 6km per 1 liter?
ahaka sa akong tita nagkuha pag avanza 1.5 pa jud to na automatic.
so far wala man ni reklamo sa gas consumption akong tita.
ambot lang kaha kung unsay tinuod ato kay wala pa raba to ma break-in..

@punk8ska - e check daw bro. ask daw your tita pila iya gas consumption, though 1.5Liters na. Thanks in advance.
@STEVEN - mao dyud bro, maypa ga 2.4L nga supra or 86 kay naa pa sa 10KM/L or more. I had it checked sa Toyota Boromeo where I got it. Ingnan man lang ko na sakto raman iyang ECU settings and timing, and ako ra daw ni reklamo so sa ako daw na driving habits. I feel na dili ko nila e entertain kay ako ra usa naa ani na prob.

I hope I will get some feedback from other Avanza 13L owners here kung pila ila consumption.

Ako lang nya e check bro kung makalugar ko kay akong tita murag wala toy alamag pag compute sa gas consumption.
Usually man gud 500-1000 ang e tubil mao kapoyan mag compute kay tag 10km ra ang biyahe unya pinagsa ra modagan.
Murag 1.5L avanza G guro to.

Basin traffic sad kaau bossing... Mura kanang mga area imong agi.anan kay grabeh ang traffic....

Then init sad... So cge on ang aircon.... Ang avanza man gud dako ug cabin... So dako ug area pabugnawon... Plus traffic pa jud... Then 1.3L na gasoline....I hate to say na medyo underpower coz I am sure gcompute na sa manufacturer... Pero actually it is base sa akong nadala na 1.3...maskin gani 1.5L ma feel nimo gamay...

super black bah imong tint bossing or clear pa?

@punk8ska - cge bro, dalikyat lang nyag post diri puhon. daghang salamat.
@krishnu shivaq silquin- mid black ang tint. Light lang ang traffic nya dili init kay 9PM ko mo gikan sa balay nya 6:30AM ko mo pa uli from work.
@burn777 - mao na ako gi assume na ahh basi sa break-in rani pro mi abot naman ug 12000km mao raman gihapon ang gas consumption gud.
