less tourist = less income sa tourism industry
less income = less ang chances nga mo expand ang company / industry = less ang chance nga mo create ug trabaho![]()
we can't blame anyone mn pud.. no doubt naa tay nindot nga mga destinations, tourist spots but it all comes down to the locale. it's our responsibility ra jud bsag simple tasks like throwing garbage anywhere, etc. first time tourists will enjoy the view but wat if hugaw kaau ang lugar, daghag basura, naa pay ubang mga taw nga mga hustler, so most likely manabi sila sa ilang mga kaila na nindot ang pinas but bad experience sa locale, hugaw ang place or whatnot.
This starts with the costs. Our resorts here cost at least twice as much compared to a resort of the same caliber in say Thailand.
If your a Japanese, naturally you'd rather go to Thailand where your money can go twice as much.
Not to mention the flesh trade there is even better than ours to boot - at least for them tourists. hehe
If you want to go deeper in to the issue, then things like security and our relatively isolated location kicks in.
If tourists come to the Philippines, they will have to stay in the 7,000+ islands here. If a tourist goes to Thailand, he can opt to go to its many other relatively cheap neighboring countries like Malaysia, SG, Cambodia, etc.
Even deeper... Nah... let's not bother going there.... hehe
