This is insane in a lot of levels. Firstly, Plate Tectonics is sufficient to explain the occurrence of earthquakes. So God as the causal mechanism for earthquakes is superfluous. Secondly, it's more moral to do good without expectations of rewards or fear of punishment. To do good because of a threat of earthquakes makes the whole morality scheme pointless. Near our house (minglanilla), part of a building's veranda collapsed on a white van carrying a family of 4. Only 1 child survived while the 3 adults died instantly. May God watch over the little child. Pray for the other 3 members.
