most (but not all) of pokemon lovers play due to nostalgia and to witness how their beloved sprites before is outstandingly improving from time to time. Worry not, even though you are a new to the series, pokemon still has a lot to offer. but let me ask you some questions. what game genre do you really love? do you love RPGs? do you love playing competitively? do you love exploring worlds and stuff? if all yes then pokemon will suit you well.

there are also videos online, view them, watch the gameplay, and follow what yourself say, if you like it or not. As for me, kutob rako pokemon emerald sauna, kay gameboy rajud tawn naa nako, walay ikapalit DS kai studyante pa, karon nga ga trabaho nako, i just bought a 3ds XL for this game, and let me say, it is totally worth it.

What genre do I really love?

Lot's actually except for sports (I was never good at them in real life and virtual life) and I always have a special place for J-RPGs... eagerly awaiting for bravely default... still playing Fire Emblem: Awakening though... recruiting all the possible characters and stuff... except those characters from previous titles... I think 30+ is already enough for me...

Playing competetively?

Yes I do but only when I know who I'm playing against like in a personal sense... like LAN multiplayers...

Exploring?

I love the sh*t out of open world games like Fallout, AC, GTA, and soon to be MGS5...

I did get to see the 70-minute gameplay video on youtube and I can tell that this game is so well made (and cute). but I can't grasp how fun it is just by looking at it... guess I'll consider buying it as soon as the mob clears out of the game store...

Pokemon, they say is a child game, but if you look closely with the 'nature, IV's, EV's, etc.

6th Gen is so worth it, for those gen1 players.. 'nostalgic' and this version you can catch 450+ pokemon legibly.

Sad to say there were only 7 Boxes on your PC, and with the amount of pokemon in this game I think Gamefreak force all players to buy to their $5 pokebank.

So 4 million players x $5 = $20 million every year.

You don't have to keep all the pokemons, so you are NOT FORCED to buy the pokebank, can you Lv100 all of those 70? I doubt it.

I'm more addicted to the mini training game than to the story or the game itself.
