That's why they are called 'delicacies', food that satiate taste, but are impractical to be consumed on regular basis; A good example is the Balut, it's not healthy to eat it everyday, yet some nutritionist would recommend 2 eggs a day for breakfast.

its cruelty if you let vegan and animal lover see while mag ihaw ka....

its stupid if you call it cruelty... if ang purpose kay para sa pag-kaon...

Bestiality is the worst kind of cruelty to animals.

Man is by nature an omnivore. In some religious group there is what they called Halal or Kosher because they have some rituals of how the animals must be slaughtered. Animals must be slaughtered in a humane way, without subjecting to any brutality or unnecessary suffering.

True. Though it is really cruelty, the fact cannot be denied that the practice has been around for so long that such has become a norm to society. Even in the old days nga mag ihaw ug mananap for sacrifice. Unsaon nalang kung dili nata mang ihaw? Wala nay lechon manok, lechon baboy ug ubang pang lamian nga pag-kaon. It's not the killing that we should be looking at but the way and the purpose of the kill. Killing an animal without subjecting it to a long and excruciating pain is, for me, an acceptable one.

It's not like a bad thing, it's just the way things are. For me, cruelty is when you let an animal suffer before killing it.
True. True. Mao bitaw gi wala na ang electric chair ug gi ilisan na ug lethal injection. If we humans do not want it on ourselves, then so shall it be for animals. When thinking about cruelty, think of how you would like to be killed, long and painful or quick and somewhat painless.

This has been a practice of early humans. They "pray" or give thanks to the animal for the food that the animal will be providing. You can see it sa movie nga Avatar.
