    I am creating this thread to share my experience with cherry mobile phone and service center.

    Last year, end of november.My husband bought me an early Christmas present.
    Cherry Mobile Flare cellphone. He got it for 3999, It was one of the limited edition, newly released phones from Cherry mobile. I was very happy and enjoyed the cellphone a lot, other than it looks similar to iphone, the apps that you download from playstore makes the phone more fun to use.

    4-5 months later, while my 1yr. old son and I were playing a game on the phone, the screen suddenly turned all-white and you cannot cancel nor turn it off. So what i did, I removed the battery of the phone to turn the device off put it back and after a minute, turn the cellphone back on and Horaay! it turned on and It is working again. My son is very eager to play the penguin game again, we started playing the app then Few minutes later the cellphone went white screen again. So, i did the same troubleshooting steps to try and fix the problem and told him that we are going to stop playing that game since its faulty. When i turned on the cellphone, all I saw was Cherry mobile logo, andriod symbol and then nothing... I was scared because the cellphone wont bootup. I turned it on again but it was still doing the same thing. Only the Cherry logo appears and the andriod logo then black screen or off. I tried to charge the phone thinking its just low-battery and thats why it wont boot. I waited for the battery to be full and then tried to turn it on again but no good, It is

    So I waited for my husband to arrive form work. My husband is a computer tech and do servicing as well. I told him about the condition of the cellphone and he said that since cellphone is still in warranty we can bring to the service center in gorrordo.
    My shift starts at 11pm-7am that day. After my shift I went to PAG-IBIG fund office in ayala and went straight to Cherry mobile service center in gorordo. There I waited till 12nn and their diagnostics is that the cellphone's board is defective and that the cellphone needs to be sent to manila to be fixed or to replace the board. But since there is a small scratch on the side of the front casing of the cellphone, there is a possibility that the warranty will be void and I have to pay for the replacement part if ever. I asked why they will void the warranty, they said that it could possibly be bec. the phone fell or was hit and that could've cause this problem.I told the lady that the phone was working for over a month after the phone got scratch and it was just a tiny scratch.
    I was tired and sleeples that time and all I want is for the phone to be fixed so I agreed and they sent the phone to manila.When I got home I told my husband about the problem and he said that it is impossible that the board is the problem because its a brand new device and we only play games on the phone. I waited over 2 months for my phone.

    When the rep from the service center messaged me that my phone is ready for pickup i rushed myself to the service center.They then said that the phone's boad is really defective and needs to be replaced. So i asked how much it would cost for a new board. Surprisingly a new board would cause 3400 something. I laughed and said, I could probably buy a new one for that. They returned the phone to me and I try to turn it on but it did not turned on.Thinking that it was just out of battery I decided to go home and have thought of having it checked to a friend who knows about cellphones.

    When I got home. I put on the charger and try to charge the phone. The phone is NOT charging anymore. I felt really bad. I told my husband about and he got mad. He said they probably replaced some parts of it. He said "kung unsay condition sa phone paghatag nto nila dapat mao japon and condition ining uli of dli nila ma ayo! mao manan among buhat sa office!" he got very angry and said "e-uli na didto, e reclamo kai ngano dli na mo charge og dli na mo appear ang cherry logo.Duda ko ila na gi ilisan and board ana!"
    I said " kalayo sa gorordo. taga lapu-lapu bya ta. nya if ako balikon adto ma ayo nila akonh phone? dba dli? mag kapoy2x lng kog adto".
    So i decided to to just forget about the phone and keep ontop of the cabinet since it has a sentimental value for me.

    Today., an officemate messaged me telling me that her flare phone was doing the same thing but she was able to use it again after following the video that she saw on you tube. Her phone is working again after she did a system recovery. She shared me the link on how to do it. She was very kind of sharing me link. Hoping that it would fix my phone too.

    But my phone wont Turn on anymore,
    I am so upset right now...

    maypag wala nlng nku gi dala sa service center, naguba nuon maau. mo charge pto og mo on before gi hatod sa service center.

    sad to say, mao ra diay gihapon ila style? gilalis unta to nmo pag ingon na void warranty kai nay scratch. im sure nangita ra to ug ligas para ma void jud. pila imo gibayad para pull-out fee? anyways ana ba ka obvious ang scratch? or look-like normal daily usage scratches. i can understand cracks but scratch? lalisunon man siguro na.

    Ka Lagot baya ana ing-ana nga style. Dapat jud na naa tay pirmahan na form and e specify kung unsa ang prob and status sa phone upon turnover sa item.

    Mao nga hangtud ron , wa pa jud ko nipalit ug Cherry Mobile..
    Mao na pinaka bati nga service Center/after-sales support.

    your phone was not totally dead when you see a logo... ma repair pa to og app sa computer. dili man to hardware problem. walay cguro gani ma dala pa to sa recovery mode kay mo gawas pa man ang cherry na logo. sayang lang na adto dayon nimo nila.

    ang sa ako ka office mate kay na basa gamay ang iya port para sa usb nya karon kay ig plug sa usb kay not recognized na. kani kay hardware problem na jud ni ang sa ka officemate nko. hope unta gali og naay maka repair ani.

    na yabag na to sila na 3.4k ang board. hehehe ang problema man gud sa uban repair shops kay manga walay kalibutan og unsay guba sa unit. way klaro na diagnose nya dretso2 lang og ingon na mao ni guba.

    dli man sad siya matawag na crack. ang tawag nila kai "dents". naa kuno dents, ma klaro xa if tan.awon pag au.. pero gamay rud mga .5mm or 1mm guro and size.. gi lalis btaw nku but mao man kuno ila policy.

    mao bitaw ingonh ako hubby, dli kunoto hardware. nag take advantage raman pud mi sa warranty ato den wa pd ko kahibaw unsaon to.. sus kahibaw palang ko na ma search ra d i sa youtube and fix dli jud ko mag hasol2x adto gorordo vah..kalagot jud

    cge nalang maam, at least lesson learned... if naa gani manga ingon ani na cases ay 1st thing to do is not to bring the unit to the shop for warranty kay most of the techs dont know sh1t. search the net for possible solutions... really takes a lot of time pero once solved its really worth the time spent.
