I smell BS here. I went through the process and I was told that there are 3 Phases.

    Phase I:

    1. Download a screen capturing tool
    2. Open your Facebook account (what!? i'm applying for a transcriptionist!)
    3. Copy this URL - Work at Home Typists Wanted: Up to P300 per hour
    4. (this is the good part) Post that URL in to the walls of 30 of your facebook friends
    5. and you have to individually screenshot each wall, all 30 walls
    6. then upload it, and get each image url and email all 30 to them

....and they left me a note which is... NOTE: If you followed all the instructions above CAREFULLY, it will take you LESS than 10 minutes to do Screening stage 1.

....yep less than 10mins for all 30 walls and screenshots... but i still did it with a pure heart and passed. guess what's PHASE 2?

the applicants uses the subject email title ONLINE TYPIST DETAILS

Here is the ad you are to rewrite:

Pay rate: P300 per audio hour

Looking for a work at home typist

Must be able to follow English instructions

Must be able to spell English words correctly

The ideal candidate must type faaster than 30 words per minute

    This is Phase 2....

"...........Thank you for turning in screener phase I for this online typist job. You pass the interest screening phase. We require phase I because many people who apply aren't really interested enough to follow through.

You are obviously interested so now we're going to test your English skills.

A key part of the online typist project is the ability to listen to English words and type them into coherent sentences. This requires basic English composition skills as well as ACTIVE LISTENING skills. We will test these skills now with PHASE II

If this company has nothing to hide, then they won't mind me posting this.

Image the traffic they'll get with just 10 applicants a day.... that is 300 walls for the 1st phase and 500 on the 2nd, that's 800 walls in a day DONE FOR FREE by people looking for a job as a transcriptionist. Plus, imagine the traffic to their blogs with just 10 applicants?

This is a scam, and with the kind of crowd we have here in iSTORYA.net, I don't know why this hasn't been BUSTED until now.

The reason they screen is that most people who apply don't both following through and end up just wasting the company's time. Take a look at the people WHO ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY with the program and you'll know it isn't BS.

Even ODESK asks you to go through screening. Even FB app based outsourcing companies do the same.

So why accuse the company with BS when you wouldn't go all the way through. FINISH the screening first. FOLLOW all instructions first! DO what is required.

No scam. The only scam is for people who DON'T screen and expect to get projects. JUST FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. Is that so hard to understand? The company posts its proofs of payment. Click on the link at the site.

@TS, askal101 has raised a valid point, what else is the purpose for applicants going through these "screening process", is it to check if the applicants are compliant or is it just to promote the blogs on the site, (it doesn't rank well on Alexa - The Web Information Company though)
@istoryans, if you passed all the "phases" please let us know what you saw at the other side of the rainbow.
