The difference between an ordinary viewer mindset and a photographer mindset is that the viewer does not care how the photograph was taken while the photographer think of the how, where and when the photograph was taken. However, knowing why a photograph should be taken or should not be taken is an attitude that every person with a camera should always have. We can call that as responsible photography. One should understand that not every thing should be in a photograph, you will know when to take and not to take when you understand the value of your intent.
so sad today ang mga new comer kay ng focus sa portraits. what i saw today nga because they have DSLR mka produce sila ug pang magazine type. naay ubang new comer nga mora na ug ordinary digital camera ang DSLR.

for me ang mga solid nga naa dnhi nga mga photographer and famous nga naa sa istorya kay they started from what we call it "Rules of Composition" nag practice from landscape/cityscape (so much to learn here kay ma develope imong pasensya and also you will learn overtime ang mga different composition and rules). naay mga uban ng start sa macro, you will learn also here the basic lights and dof bsta mka try ka ug macro and importante nasad ang pasensya. ang uban kay ng practice in Still life photography, dnhi dghan kag ma develop overtime. from strobing and perfect time... dha tanan kay ma apply nmo padong sa portraits from composition to strobe and dof.. dili nga dirtso sa portraits kay tungod mka chance ug shoot mga chickababes

check ang mga famous people of istorya.net, tanawa diin sila ng start before nila na achieved ang ilang mga ka yummy karon. sample names ha.. pls allowed me mga idol nako.

I use a black mouse pad wrapped around my flash's head with a hair band to act as a snoot.
works wonders on low key portraits.

total cost? p12.00 (p10 for the mouse pad, p2 for the hair band) even less if you use rubber band. you can also use velcro.
commercial price of snoots? estimated p500 ~ 1,000

thats not the point, what im trying to say kay dapat learn from the basic from simple things first dili mo jump to portraits or model shoot... simple things means practicing the difference ISO + Aperture + ShutterSpeed settings...

maka learn ra man gahapon ka sa basics while mag sugod ka ug portraits... kay basically bisan unsa nga type of photography or bisan unsa nga level ang skill sa photographer di man nah ma usab...

    ---

diy tip for the day... kung wala mo shutter release para sa inyu long exposure pwede ra mo mag gamit ug lastiko ug eraser sa lapis.. ang inyu buhaton is i.timer ang camera (depende unsa ka dali mo maka set up) then while nag beep nah ang camera i.taod ang eraser ibabaw sa shutter then i.higot ug lastiko.. pag human nah ninyo ug expose butangi ug black card atubangan sa lens para di maka kita ang camera sa image so di siya ma camera shake or blur then i.cap (para sigurado) then i.tang2x ang lastiko...
