di na lang ko mu comment mr bauer kay klaro na kaayo nga made up na imo hunahuna nga limpyo si pnoy

    He lied

Forgotten and overshadowed by the ongoing fighting in Zamboanga and the filing of plunder charges against Janet Napoles and three Senators, is the fact that PNoy lied. When asked whether he knows Janet, he categorically said that he does not and could not remember whether he ever saw her before. As it turns out, he does know her. The lame excuse of his spin doctor Mr Carangdang that the photographed showing Janet and PNoy was taken by chance in a party is an insult to the intelligence of the public. Why the President found it necessary to lie is the puzzle. He could just have said that as a politician being photograph with someone is part of the job. But to lie categorically is something else.
The President obviously has something to hide. Some of these are beginning to unravel. Jojo Robles has written that Janet did the rounds for the administration in the impeachment of former Chief Justice Corona and the passage of the RH Law. Kit Tatad goes further to say that Janet had lunch in Malacañang the day of her supposed” surrender”.
My own info although not as dramatic as the two mentions of an intense 14 hour negotiation before Janet went to Malacañang to “surrender” personally to the President. One of the requests granted was her confinement in a separate and secure place and not with the general prison population.
What other issues were agreed upon? Unless those involved will start talking, we probably will never know. But Janet is the key here. If she will continue to keep her silence and accept being the fall guy, with a promise of leniency, then she will suffer on her own.
General Garcia the former AFP comptroller who is now in jail decided to take the fall alone and did not implicate others. He remains the only one in jail in that particular case.
Janet might very well do the same but in her case , it will be very different. Her sentence whatever it will be in all probability will be a lot longer because of the tremendous public pressure due to the amount involved.
My advice to her is to reassess her position very well. After being denied by so many people she thought were her friends, she should realize by now that the words of these people are not worth the paper they are written. Janet knows the whole story and not the whistleblowers. If she will tell her story, I believe that it can go very high.
What is becoming apparent is that this drama involves a lot more people than is being mentioned in the news and it is already affecting alliances and friendships of some of those allegedly involved. Members of the same party cannot agree on what to do but I side with Senator Guingona that Janet should also be allowed to tell her side of the story and not only the whistleblowers.
People whose loyalties that are normally above board are being abandoned or questioned. The case is taking its toll on a lot of people and the end is nowhere in sight. As can also be seen, the investigation is following a familiar script.
Only perceived political opponents are being charged. Administration allies appear to be shielded. Records and data that are being published are coming out in trickles and apparently controlled. The Commission on Audit, according to very reliable report’s is very busy sanitizing audit reports from 2010 to the present and seeing to it that the President’s records on his pork barrel disbursements when he was Congressman and Senator is sponged of any deragotory report.
This is one of the big reasons that this administration is trying its best to limit the fall out. I do not believe the administration really intends to follow the investigation wherever it leads. Although not a lawyer, there is a saying that when you go to court, you must do it with clean hands. In this case, the Administration went to court with dirty hands. This is why it is having a very difficult time choreographing the play.

The only way we could possibly know truth is if we witness the unfolding of an event first-hand, and even then truth is muddled in ambiguity. There's the answer,
vigilance is the key and as what cliff_drew said we could request transparency from the government.
We have the capability to know, a good example is the recent Napoles scam and we will learn how to deal with it.
We do have the power to vote and to enforce this we should empower and vanguard our electoral system, for only through this we could change this unwanted governance. The change should come from us not from a single or few inviduals who do made false and enticing promises.
This is how democracy should work the decision and ultimate power should emanate from the people.

We know how much is the salary of each public official,
and of course many would know what businesses they do have,
and of course neighbors would know their lifestyles so on and so forth,
indicators to know if a public servant did do that dirty job of plundering that resource not his/her own.

Now, we are led to believe that we have uncovered a truth, but we also have to have a discerning mind and a critical cognition to identify if it is truly the truth or a ruse.

I still believe we Filipinos are a gullible people, and the sooner we accept that truth the better.
I couldn't have said it better.

Our system has never been transparent. We were never given the unadulterated truth. Everything we read, everything we hear from the media, everything has been screened. The "truth" that we are continually been given is the "truth" determined by the powers that be.

Everyone in business, media or politics can spin the "truth" whichever way they want. The only difference among them is who's better and who can pay better. We become gullible once we easily trust one side while we immediately discredit the other.
