The AB test i made above was on the Lenovo X61T. As you may know these notebook is a business notebook and the audio really sucks. So maybe coming from line out to amp/dac to headphone will not be as good as when using a desktop.

Btw how would you know the bit rate?
You can use the E07K as an external dac via usb...

    That's what i did E07K via usb
Okay i checked the bit rate and the X3 shows the test song i did yesterday is 44.1KHz/16Bit FLAC.
Perhaps this is the reason why their was no appreciable difference between the FLAC & MP3?
Perhaps i'll look for a 192KHz/24Bit song? But where?
What bit rate do you guys have?

Apologies for the poor quality taken with a phonecam.

I don't understand why FiiO would use a big screen on the E07K. At the very least they should have put an indicator of remaining battery capacity.

Last na lang gyud ni nako. Pugong sa ta karon nga week.

Btw FiiO has an E18 made specially for Android.

@fetzhola nawala na ang ako hilanat gabii he he...

Flacs from CD are 44.1/16 as it is the standard encoding rate used, higher rates are used by DVD-audio, have not dabbled in that yet...

I can hear the difference with low quality mp3(less than 320kbps) vs flac that I ripped from cd myself....

btw, you don't need the E07K as an amp for the X3... It is mighty capable of driving phones up to 300Ω impedance...

I'll do another blind test again on classical songs.
The E07K was actually intended for the notebook usb as my source.

    Music that heals? Nice hehehe
Looks cleaner with the smooth screen but impractical btaw ngano dako au, maybe cheaper costing pod kesa the metal housing.
X3 would be enough to power that headphone para pod less bulky
There is a newer firmware pod d i for X3.

Also for a 192KHz/24Bit song try searching for chesky records puros HD nah ilaha, got some for a 192KHz/24Bit tracks previously I had to lower it down para ma.play sa akong portable Sansa Clip. And for detail retrieval it would also depend sa headphone/earphone.

if im not mistaken, the X3 already has a built-in amp and its chips are the same as the E17, so they are prob similar and gi dugangan lang ug DAP. no need attach another amp

with regards to the E07k screen size, Fiio prob learned so they got rid of it on the E17. lol

HDTracks has a Free Sampler Album at 96 kHz if you want to try out high-res, but of course the DAP/DAC and headphone capability would also be a factor:

    Probably equipment that heals
Maybe they will issue an FW update with battery remaining info on it.
Yup it was upgraded to 1.25 before anything else.
Meantime Chesky HD tracks (Binaural) is already included in the internal memory. 192K/24bit Bit Rate 5278 kbps.

Exactly there is no need. The X3 gives out 270mw @ 32ohms while the E07K is 220mw ohms.
I'm interested in listening how the computer USB audio sounds thru a DAC/AMP. Got no time yet to compare sound coming from line out. Maybe next week if i got time.

Meantime has someone noticed the published Freq Response of the E07K or E17?
    10Hz to 220 khz / 10Hz to 500 khz.
What are these high figures if say someone uses the X3 that has a freq Resp of 10hz to 20Khz only?
Our dogs are complaining that they can only hear upto abt 50 khz. and us humans only abt upto 20 khz.
I also doubt that the low 10hz cannot be felt on the headphone and its just on paper.

A 10 hz signal can be felt easily although not heard. I have a sub at home that can do that and i can safely say that the published 10hz bottom freq is not attainable on headphones.
