    1. Going to your map settings and enable "make available offline"

Either way, you get this radius sort of thingy allowing you to select that area to save for offline viewing.

If you're into biking and want turn-by-turn voice instructions, I suggest having a look at OsmAnd+ (on Google Play). It's a whole bunch of "tools" and "maps" you can use for free.

If you want to explore places and alleys you've not been before, use mapmyride.com's router planner and export your route to OsmAnd+ manually. As mentioned, the app will tell you where and when to turn right or left. It's really a cool app.

Unfortunately, mapmyride can't help you if you're heading towards a one-way traffic, so be careful. It's also best to check out the route you've created before exporting, because once I failed to do that, and I headed directly towards a dead end
nice kaau ni dah. amo na gi sulayan but the problem is dli gyud cxa updated sa mga back trials noh? naa sad apps na pwede nato ma update ang maps?

Road maps rarely change and if they do, ma reflect man gihapon ang changes, dili lang in real-time. By the way, OpenStreetMap ang gamit sa OsmAnd+, murag crowdsourcing ang style nya. There were routes nga akong geh subay nga mas detailed ang OpenStreetMap compared sa Google Maps.

I've tested lots of turn-by-turn apps, pero so far, kana ra akong ganahan. Ako ra gani e strap gamit ang plastic para Ice ang cellphone sa handlebar kung di ko ganahan mag earphone and for better GPS reception.

Have questions regarding on my GPS. Hope you can help.

By the way, I’m using S2. I included a screenshot for the phone details http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3430d9aa.jpg

I noticed that when I use my data, it is most likely pointing neat to my location but when I used MyFi (Sun Pocket WiFi), it is pointing to Lahug. By the way, it was my previous location for a month prior transferring to my current location.

I was thinking that this might be a Sun Cellular problem.

I hope anyone can help. Thanks.

First, I don't think you have a real GPS issue.

There are several ways that your phone gets your location. One is through your cellular network by triangulating your location and another through your wifi connection location. From my experience (this is just a conjuncture), google is able to track and map out some of the wifi location (if you or someone have checked in through a social network that uses google maps as a layer on that network ip address) and if you don't have gps signal your phone will get the wifi location or the approximate location using your cellular network. In the past, I have seen my phone before to track my old apartment location though I was miles away from it on google maps (without gps and connected to my internet).

Just a note, you need to go outside for your phone to get gps signal and identify your location. If that condition is met and still your phone does point your location and in turn not get a gps signal, your may need an app to change the configuration of your gps radio. If your phone is rooted, to install fastergps and it would need your phone to be rooted for it to work.

If your phone is not rooted and was purchased outside asia, trying to do a reset factory settings will not help you much since the ntp server settings will have different values than what it needs to be.

    Hope this helps.
