Yeah i know, quad core prices will go down in a month or two but is it really worth it?
will you spend 15K+ (i think, when quads get to that range) and replace your old whimpy dual-core or get an ultra High-End Geforce 8800 instead? =)

dapat dili ta palit sa tanang high end... if you play games a lot, the logical choice is to prioritize your ang videocard upgrade. be wise... hehehe

yup, i agree with fish. so far sa ako experience when i upgraded from a64 single core to c2d, gamay raman ang na feel nako nga improvement sa games.. in comparison to my upgrades sa video cards, ma feel gyud nako nga dako jud ug improvement sa gaming pag video card ang i-upgrade.

For me instead of dropping a huge amount of money for a high end GPU or CPU, go spend it on an LCD Monitor.... probably 22" or higher depende sa budget.

So far, the biggest noticable difference sa akong upgrade was the monitor. High end CPU /GPU you would buy now is gonna drop price really fast whereas a good monitor is going to last a longer time (note that the monitor is what you will be looking at all the time so it's worth it to spend for that.

I say, get midrange dual core CPU and performance value GPU then get a nice monitor.

e6300 c2d/8600gt sonic......i was looking at my set up thinking of what else should i change, Monitor ako nakita na possible nako ilisan but its too early lang jud karon kai last december pa ni nako palit, 19" wide VIEWSONIC 1930wm (5ms)..still top of the line pa man gud gihapon..maybe end this year mag 22" ko para himuon nako room theater oks na cguro hehehe. might be this one..22” Viewsonic VX2235WM 1680x1050.

My old monitor was a 17"... ako to gi tiis for several years while waiting for LCD prices to go down. Then I went all out for a Dell 24" (1920x1200).. Mahal mahal sad to pagka palit (600+ usd) pero so far it's been the best PC upgrade for me. I know a few years from now lain na akong CPU, Videocard, pero I think I'll still be using this monitor. I was deciding between 20.1" or the 24" displays ... wala pa man toy 22" sauna. Karon murag mas affordable na gamay ang mga 22" models... that would be a good buy karon.

@fish gi tagaan ko guidelines ni bro whoopz how to overclock pastilan me taas ako temp, mi kuyug raba ang videocard ug apil sa pag taas sa temp sauna both CPU & GPU 445-46C idle karon both 50-51C....wa pan gi overclock gi off palang sa ang speedstep ana, na basin makapalit ko ani ug thermalright huhuhuhu..
