I don't know the logic behind building a new airport when the existing one is more than adequate.

Tanawa karon, dako ang ilang airport and modern but underutilized, pila ra ka flights per day. The cost benefit ratio is just not right.

because maybe they are thinking in a long term scenario. maybe they see bacolod to boost in the next 10 years or so. and besides, having an airport in the middle of the metropolis can limit infrastructural growth aside from the hazard it poses to nearby places. ideally, airports are situated in a less dense and less populated areas.

isnt it ironic how people thinks? they are asking for concrete projects where their taxes went. but in every plan of action of the government, ang ikacoment, gagasto gasto ra ng gobyerno. hehehe.

i would rather na mangurakot akong local officials sa mga government infra and other concrete projects kay atleast naa pay natrabaho kaysa pareha anang kang napoles pdaf na intawn, wala jud bisag isa ka sakong fertilizer nga niadto sa farmers.

We have a lot of projects to do with limited resources. Rather than building airports in the middle of nowhere which is way underutilized, would it rather be better that we spent in better roads? The traffic is getting worse in Cebu with perennial flooding problems. It should be prioritized rather than building a new airport when the old one can be redone to address whatever deficiencies it may have.

heavy traffic can't be solved by better roads alone, or even widened roads alone. and besides, better zoning is important. airports and other businesses with high traffic, should be placed strategically. solving a problem should be holistic.
