Most jazz musician nowadays has some knowledge in music theory. Here's the thing, ang naka nindot sa jazz nga you don't have to focus sa theory per se once you're playing music na, you play with improvisation mao na naka nindot sa jazz. Unless naa ka sa orchestra with specific sheet music provided sa imo instrument to play, aw kana kailangan kahibaw jud ka.
Aron di ni malubong na thread, I'll start posting jazz videos and audio here. Today, if anyone here who are fans of K-Pop which I know it's getting popular in Asian countries, you might like this video I posted... I found this song and I think we should call it, "K-Jazz"
This is Nikki Yanofsky and she's a jazz singer from Montreal, QC. She's the one who sang the Vancouver 2010 theme song called "I believe" but at the time I didn't know she sings jazz until a friend recommended me her self-titled album. After that I became a fan! Seen her as a guest on a talk-show taping and I got to meet her. Listen to her rendition of "Take The A-Train" which is the first song on her self-titled album. Hope y'all enjoy it.
..my all time fav acid jazz band " D'Sound", want to share their latest vid
