50% volume is the sweet spot IMO.

its not too loud during frequency sweeps (tinis kaayo kung high frequency na).

sa ako experience and based on other threads about burn in, it depends kung unsa na headphones imu e burn in, kay every brand naay recomemded hours and how loud (based sa mga audiophiles) so if wala sa mga guides ang imu headphones better start at the listening level then increase a little bit. remember ato eburn ang cans para ma stretch ang mga moving parts to loosen them up para mu nindot ang response ^_^

good luck and enjoy your new cans!

ang tawag ana is frequency sweep. from low to high frequency na ang iplay. ig abot sa high frequency kay ngilo kaayo.
pero exercise na para sa imu headphone.

what i usually do is i try to muffle the headphone.
i wrap the speakers in a dry towel. i put it inside a pouch. i put the puch inside a bag, and i put the bag near the PC.

you don't have to hear the whole series of burn-in sound. just let it be played over and over by the headphone.

or, you could just listen to your cans at 50% volume all day long.
playing music is still an effective burn-in.

or you could let it play white noise all night during sleep.
white noise will even help you have a deeper sleep.

Most of the owners of the HD 598 burn their headphones for 40 Hours or 3 to 4 days before their cans settles in. Mine i used white noise, my playlist and barbie girl by aqua (somebody suggest this one in one of the audiophile forums, oks man sad ang result), hehehe..

I suggest sad to use highest bitrate as much as possible such as 320kbps or FLAC and cd's because the 598's are so good at reproducing what is given to them. And invest for a good portable headphone amplifier to experience the multiple eargasm, lols..

    Enjoy!
