This would probably do better as a general CyanogenMod thread since limiting it to just CM7 seems rather specific. Anyway, I'm on CM7.2 myself; I've tried 9, 10, and 10.1, and while they were amazing, none matches the battery life of 7.2, especially if you're a heavy mobile data user, like me. Also, I have an LG Optimus One (p500), which is a rather old phone, so cm10.1 was really pushing the limits. So it's back to CM7.2, which is still awesome despite being a relative oldie. Add in some tweaks and mods, and my phone zips along like greased lightning.

In the interest of furthering discussion, I'd like to invite people to post screenshots of their CyanogenMod setup (appropriate pics, only, so as not to break iStorya rules). Here's mine:

Mao man ako gamit run. I tried cm9 and 10 pero daghan kaaug bugs. Mas stable ang cm7 sa akong unit. Bro Syd pila ka hours ang battery if pirme mag on ang 3g nimo?

@aidz814; Depends on what kind of usage we're talking about. If it's regular usage, ie. overclocked a little, 3G on, GPS off (I don't use it), phone only occasionally in use (kept in pocket most of the time, some calls, texts, moderate browsing), and with moderate background data transfer (meaning no torrents, etc), I can last 3 or 4 days before needing to recharge. Sometimes longer, especially since I've got DS Battery Saver installed, which puts the phone into deep sleep when the screen is off. With heavy use, ie. screen always on, heavy browsing/downloading/streaming, maybe playing a few games, the battery might last around 15-24 hours, more or less. Less, if I also torrent, since it creates heavy cpu load. It really all depends on what I'm doing.

Edit: Forgot to mention that the average between the two use cases above usually gets me around 1-2 days of battery. Compare that to the massive battery drain on CM10.1 where 15 minutes with 3G on loses around 10% of battery. CM9 is better, but still not as good as CM7.2.

Bottom line is, gamita kung asa ka na.oyon bro. I've been using cm ten for months na nga naka.overclocked and been using performance governor with min and max at one point six gigahertz. So far, wa rman maunsa ako phone. Hehe. One day ra ako battery mu.last. Haha. But if you prefer nga mu.last jd imong battery, use what Syd_M has mentioned. Choy pod na da. I.try ko na sa device sa ako uyab since same mi ug phone.

I would just like to mention that every case is different and that different phones would have different battery life, even if the model is the same. If you're interested in the tweaks & mods I have installed so you can try them yourself, here's what I have:

    1. DS Battery Saver Pro, set on Balanced profile. As the name implies, it puts the phone into deep sleep when not in use. It's a great battery saver.

    2. CrossBreeder mod (get it from XDA). Lag reduction, entropy, DNS, and performance tweaks. Just download the zip and flash in recovery (if you have other performance init.d scripts, you might want to remove them to avoid conflict). No need to activate the mod since almost everything is enabled after flashing, except the governor tweaks and IO tweaks (I recommend enabling them, especially the governor tweaks, since it also helps with battery).

    3. Netforks mod, which is in my opinion, the best 3G and network speed tweak out there. I've been getting good speeds on my Sun Cellular now even on peak hours after flashing this tweak, while before my speeds used to crawl like it was dial up.

For those using ICS ang JB, I would also recommend the Greenify app as a way of saving battery. It puts unused apps into hibernation. Don't hibernate your sms/mms app, though, so you won't get mesage notification delays.
