tabangi ko bi,, ganahan ko i root ang samsung galaxy s1 korean brand. please pm me..
Instead of posting a new thread, I think the members here on this thread can probably shed some light to my questions and concerns about rooting.
Gusto nako tabangan akong wifey, she has a CF 430D (GLOBE PLAN 999), for the first couple of months everything was smooth sailing, lingaw gyud kaayo siya sa phone, coming from a previous phone na dili Android and not even in the smartphone category (Samsung Chat).
now apparently she's been getting messages about the phone's internal memory being low and all, and also she notices that her phone LAGGS very frequently already. So I told her she just needs to open TASK MANAGER and close those running APPS, and she does that. Even before she starting using the phone, mao gyud na pina ka-una nako gtudlo niya.
Pero mao gihapon daw, so I checked the storage info sa phone and apparently gamay nalang gyud diay na bilin sa Internal Storge niya, bisag g-set na ang phone to install directly to the SD Card. So I researched it and found out na even imong gset ug ingun ana, naa gyud diay gihapon files na mabutang sa internal storage since it's frequently used and required to be on the internal storage.
So here's my question, I found a rooting tut on another site but before I even do that. If I ever do root her phone, would it really help?
Since sa TUT itself, naa pud siyay gbutang na info about "Why Root". And here's what it says.
"Let’s start with why you would want to root your Android
smartphone. Sometimes apps require special permission that the
Android OS, which is based on Linux doesn’t allow. These could be
simple as taking a screenshot to higher level permissions to the core
Android files. Rooting makes your phone faster, increases battery
life, allows it to run more apps, custom software and ROMs which
allow complete control over every aspect of your device by allowing
superuser and admin level permission. Removing carrier bloatware
is a particularly enticing application.
However, rooting isn’t for everyone. If you don’t know what a
command prompt is or you have trouble handling .zip files, please
don’t root. The risk of bricking your expensive device to get speed
gains and improvements only Android enthusiasts can appreciate is
not worth it. Lastly, rooting can void your phone’s warranty so
please make sure you follow instructions to the letter. Also, back up
your data before you root android!"
So sa mga experienced na aning mu root. Is it really effective, or should I just tell my wife na some of these APPS/GAMES that she has, she needs to prioritize jud kung unsa may mas importante niya then delete tong dili, suz kay when I enumerated those APPS/GAMES niya, puro daw niya IMPORTANTE... hahaahahah... CANDY CRUSH(importante gyud daw) hahaahahah
That's a Cloudfone 430d, right? Rooting should be a relatively painless procedure; the risk of bricking low and the worst the could happen is a factory/data reset (so you'll lose your SMS, apps, and unsynced contacts). You can use an app like Super Backup to take backups, just in case. As for the root procedure, the following isn't for the exact model, but the procedure is the same: http://www.gamesandgadgets.net/12902...e-thrill-430x/
Also, yes, rooting would allow you to expand your storage in many different ways. Agili mentioned Link2SD in the other thread, and it's a popular choice -- it should do what you want.
^kornyedison_143 - Yes makatabang siya, in a way na naa nakay access to bloat ware, it means that you can already un install them, so less bloatwares, more free memory sa imung phone.
how about rooting a samsung galaxy s4? new sa andriod updates dgay2 nako naka xperia gd min pro sauna nya balk ko android ron..unsaon pa nindto sa s4 nako mga master? ty
@Syd_M and dlareG - salamat sa inyong response mga sirs.
Android has come a long way najud, in fact i'm beginning to think I'll switch back to android. The last android device that I had was still running on 2.1 Eclair. Pero pag gawas sa ICS, daku2x najud kausab-an ug improvement.

boss @dlareG,let me ask, unsay dako nga deperensya sa ICS vs. JB? I am using CM9.2 Custom rom ICS.so far happy ko sako experience ani na OS but unfortunately, the FM radio is not functioning well or let me say i dont know how to use it so i've decided to delete it![]()
features, Great apps available lang sa JB, Multiwindow(I dont know if this is available to all device nga JB pero sa ako Note 2 okei man.) daghan kaayo, you can try, mas nindot siya if hiyang nga JB na imong device para maka feel ka sa difference, kung Custom ROM installed sa imong phone man gud, gamay ra difference ma feel nimo, pero naa gihapon.
(sorry, i cant speak in vernacular clearly)
